No the shocks do the preloading on their own if you want 3 inches put the billies at top notch you'll be at 2.5" i think and add a top plate spacer to get all the way there

Will it make the ride stiffer since the billies will be all the way? Is there any way I can get a smoother ride are a little higher of a lift? I'm thinking about putting 18x10 rims on my truck haha. Just have to figure out how im going to make it fit haha. I was told the revtek lift is not all that. Any suggestions? Should I get a different lift?

After reading a lot of this thread and since I just got my 5100's this morning, I'm gonna try and get them installed next week sometime when I get my new 265 duractacs. What setting on the fronts will level out my truck perfect?

So to level out an otherwise stock 2006 w/TRD off road, should the front setting be .85 or 1.75?

the .85 setting for 2nd gens should level without the TSB. 1.75 will put you slightly nose high unless you get the TSB

Do I need to buy another cushion to go between the top plate (on the underside) and the top of the shock? I'm only seeing one rubber cushion in the Toyota schematic that sits on top of the top plate.
Do the factory Toyota front shocks have a bushing mounted already on the shock where the piston goes in that the 5100's don't come with?

Hi everyone, I got a set of 5100's for my '15, 2.7L, I want to use my stock coils in front with the 2.5" setting, but I am worried that it will be too stiff up front. Has anyone used springs from a 6 cyl on a 4 cyl truck before? Might be 6 of one and Half a dozen of the other but I'm wondering if I can set the 5100 to the 1.75" setting with a 6 cyl spring and still get more lift than the stock spring at the 1.75 setting. I couldent find a link on the forum about this. Thanks for any info if it's available guys.

I know this is a pretty old thread but how do the 5100s compare to the 4600s in towing? Anybody ever hear of them blowing out under higher loads? I don't normally get anywhere near the max payload but just want to make sure they'd be a good fit

They added an extra leaf in order to delay them from sagging. They are JUNK. Will be replacing them with a real spring pack soon.
