Pinstripes do not belong on trucks, IMO
I couldn't wait to get them off of my silver and the only color they look worse on is black- you'll like it better without them

Thanks for the opinions everyone. The majority is aligned to what my gut has been saying, rip them off. Hopefully one Wednesday I'll have the opportunity to rip them off, wash/wax/detail the truck. It's desperately in need of it... but hey it's a truck not a sports car :D

Hopefully this thread will help others out considering the same in the future, I know anyone getting from Camelback Toyota probably thinks the same. The funny part of it is, you can tell everyone that bought from there by these same stripes... more I see them the more I hate them.

I just picked up a grey 09 that came with pinstripes. First chance I get I'll be removing them. Hopefully they come right off with the hair dryer. If not I have some Goof off waiting along with some wax.

Got mine removed about 4 months ago. On my DC LB It made all the lines of the truck look alot more prominent and gave it a clean look. Looks like it also shortened my LIMO by about a foot. I'm very happy with the decision to remove.:D:D

Mine came from the dealer with a very subtle pinstripe on the sides low, where the Tacoma badge is. I think it looks good. What do you guys think?

my white base model has a black, thin double pinstripe higher up on the truck, near the window and bed.
i don't like it, some a-hole already scuffed it somehow. i almost think it needs to go, but it does fit the 'black and white' theme i'm trying.

i'm torn. maybe i should just get some big ugly decal of a checkered wave that morphs into a squiggle of hot pink paint and a palm tree and call it a day.

Remove that graffiti. Someone took a nice clean wall on a nice neighborhood, the put graffiti on it and called it modern art.

OK so everyone that saw the pic hated it. IF I decide to get rid of it, how would I go about it?

hair dryer and patients. heat the pinstripes to the temp like it was sitting in direct sun. meaning your hand cant lay on the paint for any longer then a couple of seconds without discomfort. Start at one end pealing slowly and applying heat along the way as necessary. stay as close to the paint as possible when pulling off to reduce left behind residue. if there is some residue left use some goo gone. after its probably a good idea to clay bar and wax. use good judgment and be patient!!! good luck!

Pretty much what he said, but like I said a few posts above, I would NOT use goo-gone or anything else other than some quik detailer. I trust nothing abrasive for my paint personally.

I have to agree with the others, looks like a scratch, especially being white. I'd have it taken off.

There's nothing wrong with pin stripes. I wouldn't pay someone to do it to my truck, but I sure as hell am not going to waste my precious time removing them if they're already there. I have double white stripes along the contours of my fenders. Even with a black/red thing going with my truck, the little white stripes don't bother me. Leave em!

Pin stripes are all right IMO. OP there might be a little too much contrast in colors though, I'd try silver or grey instead of white. I feel the SR5's (which I own) are kinda plain and could really improve with some pinsriping to give a little contrast and break up the solid paint color. The TRD packages have the decals which break up the paint nicely.

If you remove the pinstripes.... then you gotta replace it with something.

    BFG Mud Terrain pinstripes!!
This is a picture of the graphic on my jeep. The BFG M/T pattern goes the whole way front to back. My husband made 'em for me.

Which, I've been meaning to ask.... SockMonkey - what format graphics do you use for your stickers?
