They aren't bad. But why don't you do what you like?

    stock, for now
if anyone is doing this, any tool vendor has a pinstripe removal kit.

its basically a big eraser that goes on a drill..doesnt hurt the paint any.

I believe napa has this also.

I think that the pinstripes dont look bad but they are gonna crack with age and come off so if you plan on keepin your truck for some time then I would suggest that you go ahead and geter done. Nothing hurts your feelings more than takin those pinstripes off and end up having to put more on bc of paint fading.

No Toyota comes factory with pinstripes, they are an addon to make money. I work at a dealer and we hate it when we exchange a vehicle with another dealership. First thing we do is remove it, alot times they cut the paint when installing also. I miss voted on this item, meant to vote for get rid of it.

I like them on the right vehicle. I don't think the Tacoma has the lines for them, not that I see anyway.

I went to Costco the other day and the local dealer had a Tacoma out front for sale. They offered a dealer add on of pinstripes and door edge guards for $1995.00. That is not a misprint.

pin stripes to me are more of an old man look, without them the truck will seem sportier and less Cadillac like

I voted to take them off. Its all up to you and your personal taste. It does look a whole lot cleaner w/o the stripes but with the strips on it stands out a little more then the next tacoma that sits right next to yours.

:smack: What the hell are you thinking man?

Pin stripes are for domestic trucks driven by senior citizens, since when pick up trucks first appeared they all had them! And much like briangp, I am also unanimous to a resounding "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Now stop being silly, forget you ever even thought about it, and move along to a real mod :D

Head down a few trails with sage brush on either side (you should have some not far away)... should take care of those stripes for ya!
