Is there a difference? They are installed before you get the vehicle. It doesn't matter WHERE the options are installed!

I never thought about them till I read this poll/thread. I went outside and picked at them a little and what do ya know they started coming off very easily. No hair dryer needed. Pulled them all off then cleaned off the slight residue and waxed the area. I definitely like it a lot better now with them off. I went ahead and ditched the dealership sticker too.

I ditched my pin stripes soon after I bought my truck. I hated how they looked.

If the pin stripes are hand painted and dividing a two tone paint scheme, they look good and serve a great purpose. Otherwise, get rid of them.

Lol.. I had a ranger once... yea. The tacoma is a real truck lol. I do wish I had the 4x4 though, but a least I do have a locker :D Locker makes those 70mph runs in dry washes fun.

Yea, honestly I liked the ranger except for the fact it kept dying, didn't look as good ect... It did drive nice when... it drove. I liked the smaller size, but I also like the bigger size of the Tacoma now that I've become accustomed to it. Typically most Rangers are solid little trucks... though I've seen few over 200k... :D

Pinstripes are usually installed by the dealer as part of a "value package" that is installed on all of their vehicles. Usually with other items like a bug deflector and etched anti theft serial numbers on the windows. The dealer usually over charges for the items just to make a few extra bucks off their "valued" customers.

Personally, I don't like them. I'd remove them along with any dealership advertisement that they usually stick on the tailgate or in the form of a "free" plate frame.

    Cheers

1985 called, they want their pinstripes back.:D Seriously, imo they look wrong on newer vehicles.
