First of all, I tried editing my previous thread (thermostat not working) to this title but dont know how. The real issue was my climate control.

I bought a pair of 35w ac opt7s hid kit not too long ago and I've had problems that seems to be related.
    1. My auto lights would not turn off when immediately installing. Fixed it or it just miraculously corrected itself.
    2. Ballast goes out. Had to replace one of them.
    3. (Previous thread I made) climate control goes out. Warranty covered it. Took a little over a week to fix.
    4. Climate control goes out again after having it back from the dealership one week and on all of the days... Valentine's day when my wife and I are about to go out. My cluster decides to go crazy and show me a bunch of errors. Lol took her highlander instead. Once I came back home, I uninstalled the hid kit and my cluster still remain nuts!
So my questions are has anyone experienced this? Or has opt7s 35w ac hid kits been known to cause issues? This freaking truck is 2 and half months old now. Sweet baby jesus! :annoyed::crapstorm::frusty:
Any ideas about what is going on is appreciated. Danke!

I have the same set up in my 2016 taco and 2017 camry for over a year now without any issues.

Are you using a relay harness for the HIDs or are you powering the ballasts off your OEM harness?

I have run Opt7 AC 35w in my Tacomas for about a year and a half without issue. I have run them in other vehicles as well without any issue. I would think the relay harness should protect from any kind of issue with voltages from the lights. Have you had it checked for any codes?

I was just looking at my messages since someone was messaging me about it recently- it was you though, so no help lol
Did the dealership offer any insight past just replacing the climate control?

The tech came out and said that he's never seen it go out twice in a span of a week. Told me to brace myself because the taco is going to be in the shop for awhile until he figures out what is actually going on. Fml. :notsure:

Are they going to cover it under warranty? If so, at least that is good news. Sucks to be without it, but at least they will hopefully put in the time to find the actual problem.
Hopefully they get it resolved. Update us once they have an answer please. I am curious to know what is going on, and it would probably be helpful in case anyone else runs into something like this.

It did run but I was receiving alot of errors. Anywhere from my abs, bsm, traction control and etc were all lit up on my cluster driving to the dealership. I haven't heard yet from them. Definitely will update this thread.
