I will be back over at malpais/chaco/bisti memorial day weekend. Work tuesday and head west after work on wednesday. A friend has been trying to get me to visit her there, may crash there.

So the 4runner sucks now, or blows. Depending on your view.

FedEx man dropped the box at my work desk.

And the result of said drop

I got it fixed my a guy in a shack on the side of the highway. Seals perfect and bolted up no problems!

    Just for reference, before:

When putting the supercharger on theoretically you replace the stock metal gasket with a less restrictive one, but it is a month out, and I am not that patient. I will be a little down on boost at first, but it will get fixed.

The stock intake and manifold is about a 20 min job.

I had trouble with my thermostat bolt so I bent the wire bracket back and fort 1 million times and just snapped it. No reason it had to stay. Will update with more pictures.

Fired up no problem the first time. I had the idle all wrong at first, but it was an easy fix.

Also improvised on the check valve. One is on order, but in the mean time I picked up a 1 way pcv valve and made a makeshift one.

Tackeled the supercharger throttle body gasket yesterday.

When putting a new or used supercharger on an NA engine it is a good idea to get the TRD gasket. Why? Because the stock metal gasket restricts airflow.

    1c380cd9d16eb98df2459d341c135a2c_db82fbe9556f26d8311226951a52270cb207e556.jpg

You can see the gasket on the baggie is a perfect circle, whereas the metal gasket is more of a "D" shape.

Also added the intake air control(IAC) valve. Also from trd. I had fashoned a temporary one out of a one way pcv valve until the part came in.

Pretty straightforward. Cut in the straight length of hose and install. Making sure the direction of airflow is to the throttle body.

Here are the boxes with Part numbers on them. I know these part numbers are hard to find, so hopefully it helps someone!

Both with $11 worth of shipping were $26 from Toyotapartsdeal.com. took 3-4 weeks to show up. I exchanged emails with the sales person and he said these parts are still being produced. Order away!

I haven't updated this thread in a while so here goes...

I had a strange noise under part and high throttle that I chased for many months. Turned out to be the muffler. I got a new one and sounds great now!

Climbed Mt Huron. Really good hike, not a bad road to get to.

Thanks! It's in the infant stage of the build. Lots to do still.
Yeah I live in the swamp, it sucks. No mountains. I'm prepping the 4runner for a cross country trip hopefully next summer with the family. Plan on hitting a good amount of National parks, and hitting Moab. That's the goal anyway. I'm compiling a list of places, some I got from your posts. Petrified forest looks awesome!

yeah, I do not want to trade! Petrified Forest is awesome. If you are into petrified wood, Bisti Badlands is much better however. It is off the beaten path, and a "wildnerness area," so you have to hike in. Tons more petrified wood and you can get much closer.
