These guys could make a tune for the 2GR FKS. I sent them an email awhile back and they offered to send me a P5CAN tool at cost in exchange for my ECU data. I never took them up on it but someone should. Maybe they already have. Here's what they said.

Post up more information regarding this if you have it.

if it's half as good as a piece of crap tune it will be 12x better than the OE tune.

Of course, I saw your post about how the pedal commander you installed made a really significant difference. I wouldn't mind checking that out if you're ever in the Arlington area.

I would urge you to search OV on other car forums.

I think he misunderstood when I said there was a lot of hype.

Im as excited as everyone else about this tune. I was actually one of the first people to email them asking about it.

They currently have a bench tune for Toyota thats capable of 10-15% increase in Hp and Tq on 4 banger and mention more for v6 and up. I don't know if its safe to say 15-20% increase in HP and TQ but doesn't seem to far fetch with 91 octane. That's 40-55 hp which would be real nice. Hell I would pay just for a comprehensive remap of the engine and transmission if nothing else.

That's really good to know. I have absolutely zero experience with them personally, and I know there are a few bad tuners out there. So I searched a few forums. I got some not so nice results, but have absolutely no idea how good / accurate those reviews were.

Very wise to do so. Unfortunately now that the proverbial cat is out of the bag with ECU reflashing, you do get some bad apples who will make dubious, unreliable tunes. Poof goes your engine, and their customer service ninja vanishes in your head gasket smoke.

I'm keeping an eye on OV, they look pretty promising but since my Taco is my DD I can't really budge on (a) sending it off for a bench tune- I'll have to wait until flash loaders are available, and (b) I want a conservative tune that lets me keep running 87.

Yes I am in your boat as my taco is my DD as well and will be first in line for the flash loaders. Really hopeful @OVTune can work some magic on this engine mapping!
