Order/wait time for 17 Pro.

My order was in on 4/25/17...so it should have made it.

 

Im an industrial maintenance tech.

 

I personally would not be able to wait. I would drive up with wife, friend, girlfriend or someone right after work on my Friday. Spend the night and get it first thing next morning. Be home before dinner and still have another day off...either way it's worth waiting for too.

 

I ordered one on April 8th and was recently told it will be a 2018

 

They have a cement auto
At south hills toyota in Pittsburgh they are willing to deal on
I'm waiting on a cement Manual and just told the guy I'd take any color

 

Oh and he said no cement for 2018

 

I am waiting on a white one

 

I got a build date 7/10
Red not cement as originally planned but I got one
Pretty excited, the red is growing on me the more I look at pictures

 

I looked at cement and white and red and went with red. The matte black red combo just looked great together and it really ticked all my OCD matchy, matchy boxes. I have loved it since day one. MD is thick with PROs you can find every color in a short drive from Baltimore. At one point the dealer I bought mine from had one of each color in manual and auto. They have sold a few since but their selection was outstanding.

I noticed that about md I have a truck to trade and the dealership near me offered me a decent number, hard to travel and guarantee a decent trade

Its starting to look like I may not be getting one. Especially considering Ive now read that there may not be a TRD Pro for '18.

That and Ive also heard all 2018 Tacomas will have that automatic braking/collision avoidance system standard, which I despise.

 

When I was talking to my local sales manager about switching colors
He hinted towards still a pro for 2018 just no cement

My money is on that there will be a 18 Pro Taco. Only thing I have seen is no Tundra Pro. The 18 4R Pro is going to basically be a carry over from this yr with a sunroof as well as the blinkers on the mirrors.

 

If you can find one, then have it shipped. I live in SLcUT and bought mine over the phone in Phoenix, AZ. Had it shipped for $400 to my door step. Paid out the a$$ for the truck, but that's another story.

I took the Taco Supreme to Moab over Memorial and broke it in. Now I'm somewhat wishing I would've purchased the OR model so I could put my own suspension on it. The truck could use another two maybe three inches of clearance. And I really miss not having the sun/moon roof. Everything else about the truck is great.

Went to the dealer today to give my info for a 2018 taco pro. They said no announcement has been made yet regarding the '18. But..they also said the 18' 4Runner pro was just announced and will come in white, some blue and black. Hopefully the taco gets announced soon..
