You might save a few hundred. Welding aluminum is a bitch. Atleast when I tried. A puddle you pretty much can't see is a PITA.

I think it'd be hard to find a "good" aluminum welder that'd do it for less than $500.. Heck, maybe I'll get setup with a spook gun, and weld it up for ya.

I'm currently setup for mild steel MIG/Plasma - if you go with steel, I'd be able to weld it up for you. I'll be home from Kodiak for most of the month of May.

Thanks, I figured it would be around that price, wasn't trying to suggest Relentless overcharges for labor. I don't know much about welding aluminum vs steel except that apparently it can be a pain in the ass.

Mostly just looking to take advantage of a deal and get something quicker than the +6 month wait for an assembled bumper. Plus I've got some ideas for customizing that I'd rather work with someone local on and I've got the tools to do some of the work myself (all except for welding that is).

It's tempting to go with steel, but I feel like any money I save on the bumper I'll have to throw into the suspension to handle the extra weight. And my truck is already close enough to GVWR as is.

Jonnie, you fall off the face of the earth?

Just pulled out some ballasts and HIDs from the honda (most likely chinese stuff)
you can have em if you want them. Not sure if you want to go the HID route eventually.
