@msgs350 might still have some leaf spring laying around on the cheap. He has become the local proprietor of them.

    Sadly, not much.
I used photos of a thread here on TW, sorry about that!

I have the stock leaf with 2 inch AAL.

hoping to find someone who can mock up the shape and then weld on.

    thanks again for your contribution!

eventually (2-5 years) I will update leaf pack.

Thats awesome! My FIL has camp bed camper like that and its pretty sweet. He is currently using it in his old nissan hardbody but wants to get a DCLB like me. Only think I don't like about his is its a couple inches too short to stand up straight. At least for me. That would drive my crazy.

I’m 6’1 and have no problem standing up straight, even have a couple inches to spare! It may not look as nice as a 4wheel camper but it was only $2,800 so :spending:

put $200 into paint and new floors, and she’s good as new!43C17F95-E236-4114-A144-0D17E49DB118.jpgjust have to put some stick on tile above the sink and I’ll really be glamping:cheers:

I've got some AVS in channel visors off my 2010 access cab just waiting for a good home. Great condition, removed with the adhesive intact (might still stick). Located in Tigard/Tualatin. Message me to pick up.

Anybody know a welder/fabricator in the Portland area? I need a custom awning mount for my alu cab shadow awning to connect to my go fast camper.
Something like the photo I attatched.

Thinking of heading over to the west side and down into Oregon for some camping with some other younger folks. I have looked at a few reserved campsites around the McKenzie and they seemed screwed and also a bit too far.. Plus I'll have my dogs so I cannot do an overnight river trip either (I'll be bringing the boat/paddles and possibly some packrafts whereever I go but), I was hoping you guys may be able to provide some feedback about the following spots in terms of whether they are pretty nice/secluded, have some fun stuff to do around them, likely to be full on a friday-sunday weekend in late july, etc. Maybe you also might have some suggestions? *Edit: I know these are all first come first serve. The reservation system is pretty full for almost all campgrounds on the dates I am looking for.

    Barlow Ranger District:
    Little Badger Campground
Badger Lake Campground (my gf's brother just has an old 2wd chevy pickup, not sure about this one)
    Pebble Ford Campground
    Fifteen Mile Campground

    Hood Ranger District
    Tilly Jane Campground
    Sherwood Campground
    Rainy Lake Campground

Now it is possible for me to get most places that are shy of straight up rock crawling as I'm on 33's with a 3" lift, have sliders and armor from the engine back to the T-case. My Gf's brother however cannot get everywhere - so if you knew of a great spot that needed a more capable vehicle I'd need to have a safe place to leave his rig and then we'd send it altogether in the access cab.

    Thanks in advance!

I don't have a specific spot to recommend. I do recommend dispersed camping. You can camp most places in Mt Hood National forest legally. Unless there are no camping this area signs you can drive down any of the many forest service roads and just find a spot.

You won't have any hookups but there are countless amazing spots. Most main forest service roads aren't much worse than pot hole filled dirt roads. I've seen many subarus and even sedans sometimes in places far off the paved roads.

When dispersed camping best practice is to find a spot someone else has used and use that area. This keeps your footprint to a minimum. Dig a toilet, fill it in when you leave. Pack it in, pack it out.

You get so many more great options. Usually noone nearby camping.

Oh no worries, I'll have all my river stuff with me so I have a 'Selway' toilet that we use when we are out and about. LNT buddy. Just in case you didn't know what it was: https://www.selwayfab.com/

I can't speak for the other sites, but I wouldn't take a 2wd up to Badger Lake, one rain storm and they're stuck.

Hey Washington peeps! I'm from Las Vegas and about to make a trip up to Washington next week for some camping. I would like to see Mt Rainier and Mt Saint Helens while there. Can anyone recommend a good camping spot/area for each with a beautiful view? This will be my first time visiting the PNW and I don't know when I will ever be able to make it back after this so I want to make the most of it. Any info is much appreciated.
