    All the normal TW BS
ULK = Toytec Ultimate Lift Kit

You'll find that TW is focused on offroad capabililty no matter the target audience, and typically in overkill.
want to drive to the mountain once a year for skiing? You need 4x4
want to step off the pavement? You need mud terrains and locked front and rear, and you better have SAS plans.
want a lift? King coilovers or stay home

Dialing it back, a stock rig can do amazing things on road tires given the right line.

I preach on an OME setup because it has shown to have better valving for less cost, with no drawback. Higher speed offroad or going beyond standard mid-travel will be a rebuildable c/o.
The ULK is fine for on-road action, but I don't see the point when the OME is more economical.

Doesn't terribly matter unless you are doing larger tires at the same time as well.

people who say this usually find that they later found the adjustments to be less important over time. It can correct Taco lean and maybe some spring height issues, but is mainly for guys that don't like a raked stance (note that a raked stance was intended by the design team to improve handling and aerodynamics). With the OME I experience some Taco lean, but I've never cared or needed to make an adjustment.

I agree. Im looking for on-road handling, mild lift where I can fit 265's or maybe even 285's. Be able to dick around browns camp with some peeps and not be worried about f'n up my truck

Thank you for your input. It's nice to hear someone put it into that kind of perspective. When I look at the kits, I see the ULK completely built ready to be installed. The OME looks like it needs to be built, a little harder to install (unless I have it installed).

That was my plan. This is gonna be a build, not a turn key one and done

How much of a "lean" do you have? Any chance of this being because of the bumper and winch on your front?

...So you're telling me I could have gotten a full suspension set up(minus UCA) for about the price of my Camburg coilovers!!?!? :violent: Haha kidding, I thought about going OME but didn't know enough at that time to go that way. Their spring rates steered me away as well since if I wanted to adjust the front to my likings once settled. I have adjusted my coilovers once only since I've gotten them installed in July of 09..I need to since my front bumper made it sag a bit..

If I were in your shoes(Mitch) and I could do it all over again I would go with the Metal Tech ones as they offer a full rear leaf springs vs an AAL from ToyTec. I would have steered away from the Icons AAL I got and got a full leaf pack instead

You can get the full leaf pack ( Dakars ) from that same Toytec link , you just need to select that option

What is the difference between TC UCA and Camburg? Design looks similar and both are running the 1.25" uni-ball, no?

Evan isn't coming? I thought he was..My truck isn't paid off either..neither was my 1st gen when I had it..hmmm..

So, I've been crunching a bunch of numbers for lift kits. Here is what the difference between the Toytec lifts and the metaltech lifts.

    Toytec ULK w/ AAL is 1092.49 + 49 shipping = 1141.49 to my door
    Toytec ULK w/ AAL and LR UCA's is 1471.54 + 49 shipping = 1520.54 to my door
    Toytec OME w/ 885 springs and AAL is 754.29 + 39 shipping = 793.29 to my door
    Toytec OME w/885 springs and Dakar leafs is 1143.79 + 39.69 shipping = 1183.48
    Toytec 5100 w/Eibach coils w/ AAL is 816.99 + 45.89 shipping = 862.88 to my door
    Toytec 5100 w/Eibach coils w/Dakar leafs is 1234.04 + 45.89 = 1279.93 to my door

Metal Tech OME 885 coils w/Dakar leafs is 1035.38,

    installation is 350. $1385 Installed

Oh what to do, what to do

I think you are fine without Dakar leafs as long as you have the TSB and AAL. I was told that I didn't need the Dakar unless I had need for more bed weight capacity.

Did you try prices from Wheeler's offroad? They are in Gresham and I think they offer TW discounts.

You could also ask these other bums for a hand installing over the weekend :p

I don't have the TSB for the rear. I bought my truck used and it's out of the 36,000 mile window. Ill look into Wheelers. A buddy and I would do the install. He's got anything I could need since he built this a couple years ago

Just looked up Wheelers. The OME kit with 885 with Dakar leafs is 1110. The ToyTec ULK from Wheelers is 1149.99.

Looks like MetalTech is gonna be the cheapest

You can get the TSB done outside of warranty, since TSB's aren't technically directly related to warranty. I know someone that had it performed at 70k miles.

It would most likely be much more of a hassle because the dealership will fight it more, but it is possible!

If I decide to get the Dakar's its not worth the time to get the TSB done
