A lot of reviews say that it takes a long time to focus, plus it has blurry focus. however, 50 prime should be really easy to use and hard to get wrong almost, so just go with it I guess.

I was lucky enough to shoot a 50mm F1.2/L, and it's by far and away my favorite lens.

Another tip, Shutterbug is spendy and sort of like Best Buy knowledge wise sometimes. Pro Photo supply is really good.
Also, go to Advance Camera and ask for Jordan Sleeth. He's a friend of mine and knows his business.

For online, bhphotovideo or beachcamera are hard to beat!

Yea I read that also but my 28-105mm lens seems to do the same as well :(

Ahh I'm done buy stuff for my camera...for now lol got the 50mm i've wanted and got my mini tripod..next would probably be to upgrade the body itself. Should I take my camera to Advance Camera and have them check out the focus problem? Any trouble shoot tips? Jordan...did I meet him once at Red Robin when he went with you or is that a total different guy?

wouldn't hurt. I think Jordan still shoots Canon, and he'll talk product with you without it costing anything until there's reason to do something.

You can hook up to a PC and use it as a bigger screen. I don't know if AF works when you do that?
You may be due for a camera cleaning, too.

That was Blair. Blair is a gadgety guy and makes weird stuff in the kitchen. I wish he was more motivated and would just become a chef. Currently he's making some device that cooks meat in ziploc bags.

It's sheet metal that's been cut to look like flames.
