I've thought about it. What is the time frame for an install? Could you get the fronts installed in 4 hours?

I've actually found USPS ground to be faster than fedex/ups if you are going up and down I5. The only big thing I miss about K Falls is that their post office rocked. Never any lines and I got things overnight by shipping/receiving ground. Post office was also in the middle of anywhere you want to go.

I've swapped springs on my OME and wheeled same day. I did have air tools, but if you have impact wrench, socket set, torque wrench, jack stands and floor jack, you have pretty much the same stuff. Also for you, there's no springs to assemble.
You would need an alignment (who cares if you are headed straight afterwards to TSF), if you go to Firestone it's first come first serve and they work weekends.

That sounds like a good idea Eric. Radar was showing a little snow fall there earlier this afternoon.

You could do it with a crescent wrench and a pair of pliers in 4 hours. Just jack it up, pop the wheel off, remove the cotter pin from the tie rod, remove the tie rod castle nut (3/4"), then tap the tie rod out of the spindle with a mallet (don't bung up the threads). Then take the three nuts (15mm) off the top of the coilover, then remove the bottom shock bolt (3/4"). Slide the coilover out and stick the new one in. I bet you could do it in two hours 'cause you're smart n stuff.

But you forget that pesky UCA bolt we got to remove! Unless he buys new ones we need to beat it out and bend back some sheet metal.

Mitch we should have UCA's and struts done in 3 hours max. Each do a side and ill walk ya through it. Easy as pie to be honest. Ill just be jelly of those nice struts.

By the way "username" I installed those brakes you mentioned and the are awesome. Huge difference from stock. I used my stock rotors but had them resurfaced. Thanks for the heads up.

Joe mentioned going on the 24th. I've been getting very lazy about organizing things on that thread unfortunately, but I should be there. Not sure if Joe is still committed.

22nd :) Thanksgiving morning. I was planning on taking my brother in law out but as of right now he is in the "I don't know..." mode.

So guys..there's a hole in my bathroom ceiling  water has been dripping from the bathroom ceiling fan(the one you turn on when you take a shit) and tonight as my daughter was taking a shower I stood up on a chair and gently pushed around the built in ceiling fan and my thumb went through a area. It feels like a large amount around the ceiling is soft. How the hell do I fix this? :smash:

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
You should be able to get the front done in 2-3 hours. Like Jason mentioned, the UCA bolt is a PITA. I had the most trouble with the driver's side. Remove the battery and expect to bend some metal.

For the coilover removal and install, I used the following method a total of 3 times now with great success. It worked like a charm, and I didn't feel safety was compromised at any time, but as always use your own discretion, and mark the alignment tabs on the LCA before you start (might be a moot point, since you will get an alignment soon after anyway, but couldn't hurt).

*I think the video is banned from TW, so it won't let me hotlink it. You can see the video HERE

I will be looking into these sometime soon. Gotta get caught up on my house fund, but I'm tired of the squishy-brake feeling I get from the stock pads/rotors. Will probably get THESE SS Brake lines at the same time.

I might be down for something Thanksgiving weekend. I have the 22nd, 23rd, 24th, and 25th off.
