Good. glad you got it finished. Now just to share what I did also when I changed the belt. I also cleaned the throttle body. Took out completly to clean both sides and reused the gasket. (careful not to get gunk/crap in the small IAC holes)
Also new NGK plug wires and new ngk dual electrode plugs. Mine runs like new.

Like you , I will need to take it apart to put new valve cover gaskets /cam seals / PCV gromet in. Would have been nice to do it when I did the timming belt but I did not have enought time and the truck is my daily....

Any way Great to share experience and ideas.

HAVE A GREAT NEW YEARS to all my My Taco friends.

just did the new plug wires/plugs last year and new plugs again a couple months ago. Also cleaned the throttle body while I was troubleshooting a weird sputter while driving and every now and again a rough idle. That/a used MAF did the trick. I plan on cleaning the intake and throttle body again when I do the valve covers.

Looking at the valve cover job, yeah it's looking like it would have been a lot easier to have done them while the timing covers were off and the cam seals were visible, but oh well.

Happy New Years, hopefully 2021 won't suck as bad.
