We have an element. What a piece of shit... that is the absolute perfect around town car...
Unless you need to get into the back seats...

    it’s a love hate relationship....

the community is some real nice people who got duped by Honda’s “awd” system. An oil pump that activates the rear diff when the computer detects front slip.

it was advertised as a vehicle that the seats fold flat for a sleeping surface....
    Yea...
    Flat...

    no.

the car is a is market only and uses parts from different platforms so it’s a bit of a mess getting parts.
The rear came under dampened and under sprung and bottoms out with anything over 80 pounds in the back seat or truck.

the stereo is great. The air conditioning and heater are great... it’s adequately powered but could use another 50....

People have been using this weird concoction of crappy ways to lift them in order to run slightly larger tires to go camping (think vw van).

I convinced bc racing to make a coilover lift kit for the car. It needed adjustable rear upper arms to run them. They were already available from Spc for alignment help since the rear would always go into positive camber

aside from a crappy shock insert, it worked pretty good.

I wish my “awd” was a manual. The auto gets horrific mileage. I heard the manuals get a much better mileage.

I’m still surprised no one has taken the diffs apart and found a way to bypass the oil pump and make them full time awd.
