It’s made by Alu Cab. Best money I’ve spent in a long time.

I don't have a 4x4, but damn that looks like an awesome time. I grew up in Virginia Beach and you can't drive on the beach around there. It would be awesome to head out there and set up for the day with the family!

4x4 is definitely needed here. The sand is very soft, I’ve seen a lot more stuck vehicles than I normally do, they aren’t airing down though. One guy had his ‘13 Ram go into limp mode, it wouldn’t shift or even turn off, the computer completely locked. We got it shut off and disconnected the battery, and when he aired down to 12 psi he finally got out and was on his way.

I don't understand why people think airing down is not important. Between not getting stuck and not messing up the environment by leaving major ruts in the sand it sounds like a no brainer to me. I always air down when I go on the beach

A lot of the stuck people did air down but not enough. I go to 15 psi and my nitto’s balloon nicely and I’ve even tried to get stuck.

I have went as low at 12psi in my KO2's. I just go down until it balloons good and have a hard time getting stuck myself. Heck even when I park and lower the rear I have to give her a lot of gas to spin them. Typically I won't help anyone out if they have full air in their tires.

I saw a little Jeep renegade get stuck in the entrance to the 4wd beach the other day

I honestly don't blame them since the sand is sugar sand, and there's a lot of it. I almost bogged my truck out in it

Yeah the entrance can be tricking sometimes. A good running start with constant skinny pedal helps me. I see people all the time stop right in the middle and that is horrible

Cape Point is really really soft right now as well. A lot of folks getting framed. There has been so much movement of the sand around the Point in the last year or so it hasn’t had a chance to firm up.

As much as I want to drive on the beach more, I just don't want to deal with sugar sand

I was just on it about an hour ago, it was pure sugar/powder, could barely turn without almost bogging out but once the truck got going it was kinda fun

Yeah, but a little rain wouldn't hurt anything on the 4wd beach, if anything it'll help firm it up

Come on down man. We plan to get there early and possibly hit up the North vs South Mudbog at Dennis Anderson's motorpark later in the day

I made a quick trip yesterday myself to scout the beach for fishing.. I've personally never seen it that bad. 10 or so people stuck or on their way there and people going 35+ cross rutting and beating their trucks to death. I saw various pieces of plastic from vehicles laying in the sand as well as one spot that looked like something caught on fire, but haven't seen a report about that yet. I did get to stop by my favorite pizza place (corolla pizza) and saw a couple horses get into a fight back near the restrooms so it was definitely worth it. But people really need to learn how to drive on the beach and be courteous of others.

I got out there at 11:30 and left around 2-2:30. stopped for about 30min for lunch right before where the house sticks out then spent the rest of the time creeping to the fence and back.

there's a jeep week thing that's coming up soon and they usually do a beach "take over" in corvoa, usually 300+ jeeps show up.. with all the tacomas on the island (local and tourist), i'm surprised there hasn't been a Tacoma week started. I'm thinking next year, trying to get a get together down at one of the camp sites in Hatteras. seems to be a popular spot amongst people on these forums and have met several people down there already.

Ah, I was there around 4, interesting to see there's a jeep thing despite seeing 2-3 Tacomas for every 1 jeep
