Is this normal? My air recirculated switch shuts off after about 3 or 4 minutes.

Yep, it's in the owner's manual. Something to do with the ambient air temperature or something. If you press and hold the recirculate button for three seconds (i think), it will stay on.

OK, my earlier explanation wasn't all the clear. Direct from page 223 ofthe 2009 owner's manual:

"If the ambient temperature drops while using the recirculated air mode . . . The air intake mode automatically changes from recirculated air mode to outside air mode after a few minutes. To cancel this function, press and hold [the recirculate button] for longer than 2 seconds. To reactivate this function: Turn the engine switch to the LOCK or ACC position."

It would be nice if it didn't have this "feature", but there's the fix.

Thanks a million, saved me a trip to the dealer. I thought for sure something was wrong. Guess I need to read that manual one more time.
