OV Tune ECU Calibration file

My truck is reportedly a 2017 model (first year TRD Pro was available). Although my calibration file comes back as 04B02 which is in the 2016 data set of OV Tune.

Anyone else seen this?

My 2017 was 04B02. I'm now updated to 04B04.

If you got OVT, you can update at home. It is about as simple as an OVT flash.

 

How did you do it my truck is a 2016 and the ECU is 04B01 the closest one is 04B02

so I can just you the ov tune program and the file it seems like a lot of steps here. and I have an auto tran.

 

if you don't feel comfortable then don't. your other option is the dealer, good luck with that. folks here will help if you can do your part w/o dramas.

 

I got the dealer to update mine by requesting the pedal acceleration stumble TSB that ends in 58. That flashes you to 04b04. They didn't give me any pushback.

EDIT: requested TSB 0062-18, but ended up getting 0058-18. Not sure why. Doesn't matter...both get you to 04b04.

Yes. It is a lot of steps because folks have asked a lot of questions in the past. It is really similar to the OVT programs.

 

how do I know what file to put on my truck? meaning to update my ECU?

 

It says in the post. But:

T-0033-18.cuw is for 2016 and 2017 MT.

T-0034-18.cuw is for 2016 and 2017 AT
