Ok So it has been hitting 100 to 110 at home.

For the first time in 20 years the truck is over heating now.

I changed the coolant to 50/50, t-stat, rad cap.

It is still geting to hot. This means when i drive for 10 minutes or more the truck will start to get hot, happen mostly when the AC is on. turn the AC off and Rev the motor or turn on the heater it wil cool down.

To me this points to 2 things.

    1. Radiator is going south
    2. Fan clutch is not doing it job well.

    Please give me your input...

The truck never got past 80% as i turned on the and got the temp down.
But I do not want to have this any more.

Also i heard there might be a Green fan clutch that is form a Towing package. Can some confirm this. and get a part number.

Also if other have replaced there Radiators what have you gone with?

This truck is a 2.4 1998 stock all around. i like to haul stuff in the bed and people inthe bed at the race track. I have 800 to 1600 pound in the bed of the truck 30 times a year.

    need some help...

not sure if you fixed this problem but it sounds like your radiator is plugged. i had a 98 *cough* taurus.. that had the same problem. new radiator no more problem! good luck
