yea.. especially when my truck already has one of those.. except that it looks better and also tells me the direction Im driving and the temp.

But I fully support your individualism if you would like to install one of those in your truck. Do IT! and post pics

Sheep are so soft! I like my console better. Thats doesn't really seem worth it to me. Maybe if you didn't have anything, but ours are better IMO.

I installed an overhead console from a late 90s Tahoe/Suburban in my 04 Taco D-Cab. It requires some minor trimming of the sides but it looks factory. Don't have pics but it's held up for over 5yrs. It holds my garage door opener, my sunglasses, my paperwork, and has two map lights. I can't imagine life w/o it.

I was gonna try to fiberglass a switch pod there and use the screws that hold the mirror in to mount it. I’m thinking about trying to mount a sunglass holder as well but I’m worried I’d it’s too heavy it will sag and I don’t want to put screws anywhere else in the ceiling. Maybe if you made it longer you could utilize the dome light mount to hold it up as well. Just put a few layers of painters tape down so the resin doesn’t adhere to the carpeting and make a mold of the ceiling. After that make a thin frame and build up the fiberglass over it. There are plenty of tutorials on custom fiberglass fabrication on YouTube.

I've wanted to do this for awhile. I think the 3rd gens 4Runner Limiteds had them as an option? That sunglass compartment would be key!

JB weld it and you'll have to cut the roof to get it off!
