I have an overhead monitor installed and everytime i raise the volume and the subs are hitting pretty hard they cause the monitor some distortion. They monitor looks crystal clear when the subs are off but you can see the distortion once i turn them on. what can be causing this? Thanks in advance for the help!

It might sound odd but did you ever think it might be your eyes? Have you ever brushed your teeth and looked at your alarm clock? Shit looks insane!

Maybe test the output of the source first on a regular TV and see if it's that. If the source is clean then you're monitor is cheap and you either need to deal with it or replace it.

You might be able to get by with deadening the roof. That might help.
