Overheating while only in 4Hi and 4Lo

Fan clutch usually turns on if you turn the truck off and wait a min or two. Restart the engine and rev it, you’ll hear the difference.

Off topic, but, I had the same experience with a dealership. I usually do my own work always but I was in for a frame replacement and I told the dealer my 4x4 actuator would engage sometimes or it would trying and blink and beep etc. They said since I dont put it in 4x4 much (not true they assumed since we are in the south I never do) it just gets stuck and I need to turn it on go under and tap it with a hammer or screwdriver dafaq literally that was their solution. I was a little shocked I was like are y'all even licensed to work on cars anyways I found a bunch of other people on here had this issue too and they pulled it out and soldered the connections. I came home pulled the actuator and when I popped it open it was packed with sand. I cleaned it out soldered the connections and greased it back up and sealed it properly and it engages faster than ever. Sorry for hijacking the thread but the dealers solution for your stuff just pisses me off like mine did. Thanks for letting me share.

Every time you overheated your engine , you also overheated your transmission .
Not sure of your mileage , but I would suggest a transmission service to replenish that overheated transmission fluid as well

Yep, this is probably true. I have 50,000 miles. Probably do to be changed.
