Is your tablet mounted with a windshield suction cup mount or is it mounted to the top of the dash somehow?

I scored some sweet patagonia ones when I was in Portland. I have a bunch of green/tan/yellow ones, but any of the speciality ones are really hard to come by

It's mounted with a RAM mount to the double din Bezzle for the radio. It has some long screws in it that go through some dash sub frame for a really secure mount.

The girlfriend and I took off to Mojave this weekend a explored a bit. Found some great stuff and was a really good time. Saturday night we decided to drive into Primm, NV as the weather sucked, both came down with a headcold and it wasn't too far out. Good times!

Man looks like I need to make it out to Mojave again had such a good time on the trail. May have missed a few things... Would you mind posting some of the locations? I've only hit Primm and the "other" bus.

Did a little exploration along the Utah/Arizona border with some family over the weekend. Cold, snowy, muddy, fantastic!

Lucky! I'll have to hit you up when I make the journey to the "promise lands". Haha.

Side note - That black rainfly looks killer against the green tent. Might have to do the same to mine :anonymous:

Wintertime is a whole different deal in that area. First time I've been down there this time of year. It was awesome.

Looks like a great trip, Adam! The Utah-Arizona border is my my old stomping grounds. I miss the hell outta that area!

Is the first pic at Toroweap by any chance? That's one of my favorite areas on the North Rim. Check out Whitmore Canyon if you're down there again. It's one of the side canyons of the Grand Canyon in Lake Mead NRA. Used to be pretty quiet there and you can hike down to the river.

Has anyone done or heard of solar on a single main battery?

Kind of. I have a stand alone battery that is only charged by solar. Just need a solar controller and that's it really. Will be hooking it up as a true dual battery set up soon but will keep the solar panel when my truck is not running to keep the battery topped up.

I have a CTEK 250S that will float charge my starter battery when the aux battery is full. The charge comes from 75W solar that has been in continuous use for 3.5 years. Zero maintenance. Zero problems. :)

Best way to mount your phone/tablet? Most of you all go with Ram mounts? Looks like the easiest/best alternative (Not cheapest) way to use.

Honestly, the cheap stuff sucks, just landfill material. I have $100+ into RAM and they are all solid. I believe Panvice makes good stuff too, as well as the mob armor for applez.

If you have a mount for your device that is good but not RAM, consider adapting it by modifying it. I've done that with three cradles, and they are all good.

I wonder how good the Mob Armor magnet mount is. Its a simple ball and socket joint for rotation with the magnet to hold your phone or tablet

I tried one. Seemed solid at first. Had a good wheel drop that rocked the taco petty good. Damn phone flew right off.
