    So I finally got the rest of my cb shit that was missing from the original box. tested the swr tonight real quick before I had to work at EMS

    it was 1.3 on channel 1, 1.7 on channel 20, 2.4 on channel 40

    It's the wilson 1000 metal whip antenna, so I just need to trim it and test it again until it gets to a better ratio through out. I'm going to finish installing it and tuning it tomorrow and then hopefully the cb project will be done!


    And the cb is the Cobra 75...
    Leon dont you have the 75 also?

    Naw, im running the Cobra DX19 Peeked and Tuned (maxed out) along with a Skip Shooter antenna thats been tuned as well (tuned the SWR). idk if yall know what peeked and tuned means or what a skip shooter antenna is. Peeked and tuned means that they go into the radio and tune it on the inside to push its max watts. I think mine right now is between 4 and 7 watts, Its actually illegal to be anything more than 4 watts on a cb. The skip shooter antenna is what all the truckers from the 70s ran on their trucks. The SS antenna is American Made (Southaven, Mississippi). Made about 40 minutes south of my home town in Tennessee. You can buy the SS antenna online but they are rare to own now days cause everyone just goes with what they have in the truck stops. After having a wilson antenna then going to a SS, it was a huge difference. My buddy scott (Izzycc) is running the cobra 75 and alot of other guys run it as well in their FJs. I convinced izzy to get a SS antenna over his firestick and he was picking up ppl from about 15 miles away. Ive had the same affect after i put the SS on mine.

    Just talked to Nick, the manager at Colonial Diner & Restaurant. Hes pleased to have our group and he said that they have been in business for over 20 years and feature homecooked meals, greek dishes, italian dishes and other dishes as well. dinner prices range from 7.95 to 15 being the most expensive.
