Honestly I'd love to test drive someone's Toyota 3.5L ecoboost to see if the result is more along the lines of what I'm hoping this will be. I'm pretty over the whole ridiculous power for the sake of ridiculous power thing, or i would've suffered through my geriatric knee pain to hold onto my MS3 lol

powertrain warranty is 60k on most tacos. My CPO has a 100k powertrain warranty from what the service advisor told me last time...

My warranty is already toast. 62,000 miles. By the time this is available, I'll probably be close to 100,000 in which case I should probably buy a new truck to install it on.

Sounds like @Chipi3s should charge people $20 to go joy ride in his truck. Before long he'd have a free turbo setup

This sounds rad, I will for sure follow this for more details. Sorry if I missed it but I saw it has bigger injectors but are all the numbers coming from a stock fuel pump?

I think my main concern would be if the transmission and drive line can handle it without shitting the bed.

You can come out to El Paso and have a room to sleep in and we'll go out into the desert for some off roading and shooting. Cost of ammo all on me, and I'll pay the 20$ to step on the gas with those twins lol

Mat stated the TT kit can only be ran with Premium fuel. The transmission is also used on diesel trucks and should be plenty strong. Stock fuel system as well, although aftermarket port injectors are suppose to be available as well at some point for high boost kits.

@OVTune , @mesojdm, King suspension and some armor company should get together and build a Sema truck with all upgraded Meso lighting, custom racks and his other Tacoma mods, 600hp TT, lifted and all armored out. Would be one helluva truck.

Its getting bad, Im almost broke.
When I put a turbo on my 2 stroke snowmobile the gas mileage actually improved becuase the engine isnt working as hard to produce the HP needed. It may be similiar with the Taco TT.

That's almost always the case with FI, it's the reason why Ford is using turbos on their ecoboost

You’re saying that a Ford is using turbos to increase gas mileage?

No they are using turbos to increase power. They increase mpg by using smaller engines.

You can install a FJ manual t-case on a 3rd gen. It will bolt right up, you just have to swap out the planetary gearsets from the automatic version of the manual t-case with your taco's case so the splines with match. The m/t FJ's t-case is different than the automatic FJ's manual t-case and won't work. So you need to buy a transfer case out of a automatic transmission FJ cruiser. I am working on adding a manual t-case to my 2016 Tacoma so I've been talking to rocksolidtoys(they pioneered the manual t-case in the Tacoma) about it and they say it will work, just nobody has done it yet.

They're using it to do both, when you force more air into the cylinder you can get more power out of each stroke. That makes more power. When you make more power you need less throttle input to do the same work. Less throttle means less fuel going into the cylinder

Negative. Their 3.5 liter found in a 2010 Taurus gets the same mpg as their 2010 SHO with twin turbos.

That’s not how fuel efficiency works.
