Are you going to offer different stage for the TT in the future, in the event someone wants bigger turbos?

Already is that option on the turbo kit product link.

We're finishing up install of this very nice MESO Boost gauge setup and our truck will be ready to rock!
Pre-ordering info (S/C / TT), data, dyno results on various boost levels, etc all before end of July.

Pardon my stupidity, but does @OVTune plan on doing a roots style blower or is that out of the question?

I would say it’s out of the question.

He just put out a twin turbo kit and rotrex supercharger within a week of each other.

No reason for him to add to the pile with a roots blower.

So I guess that means NO Tacoma roots type supercharger sounds like mine then.

    No more VE filling limits!
We haven't talked much about all the code work we have been doing to make boost work. But it has been going on behind the scenes. Unfortunately until I can find time to compile everything into a massive blog post I'll be posting forum crumbs

I can give you guys some insight as to why the older toyota blower kits were a roots/screw style.

The centrifugal kits (which were more appealing from a price standpoint than a whipple / lysholm / eaton unit) This created a massive cost problem on the post-development side. Toyota had to crash test and approve them where they didnt for the top mount units (as these were not adding anything to the engine that wasnt already as a part of the crash design). Anything added to or hanging off the front needed to be tested to ensure it didnt change crash protection function in-order for Toyota to add it to their parts catalog.

I would have loved to see a Vortech unit, like the V3 H67B.

So in English, what's this mean?

In English... it can be very difficult to make an accurate boost calibration/tune when you have no MAP sensor. (air pressure sensor). The stock ECU does not use actual air pressure when calculating things in the tune.
It uses a static fill table for cylinders (basically 3D "cylinder VE"), it uses MAF and other 3D tables to calculate a "load" value, and then uses static "torque" tables to calculate a "Torque" value based on throttle.

In stock form the ECU is not designed to supply the additional fuel requirements for boost, and as a result of having no map sensor, cannot see boost anyway, even if it were there.

So, we have had to find multiple limiters in the ECU that limit "VE" / "Torque" "load" and change them. But doing only this is not enough. We also had to create our own tables, which we will show you, that compensates / multiplies requested fuel based on calculated load (from maf flow) and compensate based on current torque value (throttle position).
this is so the ECU does not over-fuel when throttle position is low but load is high, where boost would be Pre-TB but not Post-TB. (The ECU would not know the difference because of a lack of map sensor).

It's one of the most difficult code patches and algorithm I'e had to create, ever. It's still being tweaked.

But think about it. How do you correctly tune for higher air pressure, if you can't measure the air pressure.

NORMALLY, the ECU uses this method (which is shit!).
If throttle position is less than X ... > target 14.7
If throttle position is more than X > Target Fuel table OL
I'm working on a 3D closed loop target fuel table but it's very difficult.

    That's it....

Damn Thanks for the reply, that's some pretty slick coding.
