Obviously it wouldn't be free. He's going above and beyond by offering that considering he'd have to buy the hardware (and write it off, I'd assume) and then coding for it. I've coded at a very low level and its a total pain in the ass, let alone what he's doing. Offering it for multiple products under his own roof is busy enough, let alone taking on someone else's.

Dude's gonna be even busier, but making that money.

Dyno charts haven't been posted yet, right?

How doable is it to install these kits yourself? I’m fairly mechanically inclined (no expert though).

I'd say the Toyota ECUs code is just annoying, complex, and too many 4D tables with a literal pandoras box ignition blender.

If people saw this and knew what they were looking at they'd understand why it can take so long.
Here is our custom code for our new fuel model for boost

I’d be happy with 100 more hp/torque. With 430 gears and an ARB rear locker, it should at least smoke the tires. I could see doing that next to some vehicles like a Colorado or something. Especially since TRD Sports don’t come stock with a rear locker.

Looking at getting a 2016+ because of this kit. I'm debating manual transmission vs. automatic. Do you think the auto can handle this power long term?

I think you should get the manual because the auto sucks

I'd be more worried about the stock clutch not handling the added power than auto tho. But you just need to slap a stage 3 from URD and you're all good.

You are correct. The auto will handle more power than the stock clutch will.

As an auto owner, @crx7 get the manual. The auto absolutely sucks. However, I haven’t gotten OVTune yet, which reprogram the trans completely.

It will but if you overheat the transmission it will grenade like anything else.

Idk shit about shit but I feel like an auto with TT would be just right. Especially with the added power at 2100.

I agree, I feel like more power will help the crappy trans but if we buy the OVT kit, we get his tune which corrects for the terrible “learning” programming on the transmission.
I do not think power will solve the trans issue completely. If you read Mat’s blog post from last year about why the auto blows, you’ll learn a thing or two, as I did.

Isn't it what I said? Or is my english that bad?

I'm wondering how overkill would a stage 3 clutch be on a OVtuned truck with the dump tube.

    @Trident904 had a stage 2. Not sure I’ve seen anyone with a stage 3

It’s overkill, but it’ll work. Ounce of prevention worth a pound in cure, maybe.
