As it should be! While my money isn't burning a hole in my pocket, I'll buy as soon as they're on sale.

Im only here for twin turbos. Out of curiosity, did Matt ever get the first five SC kits sold?

I don't believe he has. I think most are waiting to compare results betweens TTs and S/C, or at least that is the case for me. I like the idea of turbos, but I am not stoked about where they are mounted as I do a lot of offroading. However, I do have a full set of skids so I'm not too terribly worried about it. If the S/C has some good low end torque numbers then I think I will go that route instead. I don't expect it to be the same low end torque the turbos put out, but if it can give me enough to hold 6th better on a flat highway, and have some more grunt when driving around in the mountains I would be happy especially with as easy as the install will probably be. I guess what I'm saying is that it is a numbers game for me. In my mind they are pretty identical in price, so it's all about the low end torque numbers and whether or not the S/C is going to help with driveability in the way that I drive. At this very moment though, the TTs look to be the clear winner.

This is a question that is lambasted big time BUT ! . Why would anyone want to add so much HP and Torque to a 3rd gen Tacoma that is designed for much less ! I learned many years ago if I needed to tow heavy loads , the size of the rear end gears (3/4 ton , 1 ton rear ends )is the major concern , not the hp etc.
I guess you guys are just looking for race trucks while empty ?
I get it that having the fastest 3rd gen Tacoma is cool , but come on , if the goal is to use the extra HP and TQ , is for towing , -- buy a Tundra , or shame me by saying , a big three 3/4 or 1 Ton !

What's wrong with wanting a faster/more powerful Tacoma?

The Tundra is barely faster than the Tacoma in a 0-60 standpoint, a bigger vehicle, bad mpg etc.

It's not an apples to apples comparison and it's not as simple as simply switching vehicles.

I say this as someone who is considering SC Tacoma vs simply switching to a Tundra.

There's a lot of stuff to take into consideration.

Personally, I want a smaller truck. I already have a 9" rear that will more than handle what you are talking about. I want light, fast, fits in tight spaces kinda truck that carries 700-800 lbs of armor and gear.

How dare you say my rear end isn't big enough! ;)

Realistically for me it's about driveability. I live in Denver, so boost is a good way to get back the power I lose to the thin air. I frequently drive above 10k ft so gaining that power back is huge for me. Also I really think this truck could be amazing with more power at highway speeds.

I understand where you're coming from but a question that perhaps isn't "lambasted big time" enough is why do you think your opinion makes an oz of difference. I'm pretty sure most of the people buying the kit are more concerned with going fast than anything else.

Bottom line, different strokes for different folks.
