The only thing I can recommend right now is don't go buying winches, front bumper/armor etc as it may interfere with the intercooler if you are dead set on having a TT kit.

Also if anyone is curious we have a pair of Toyotas stock 3.5L twin turbos out of the V35A.

Mat will deliver a setup that will likely be unmatched. He will likely also be the first FI setup on the market so I'm not sure how he isn't coming through.

Very easy to criticize when you're coming from the side of not having a clue what it takes to make this.

"If I was an engineer I would."
    Oh what kind of engineer?
CAD design, experience with, or capital to hire someone who can get you CNC parts, after you CAD them, or pay someone to CAD..
But then you need measurements and a spare engine at the minimum..

Then test fit and revise, several times.

    Oh and coding..LOL.
What engineer for that? Because you need to know low level software development at the hardware level PLUS assembly language PLUS writing assembly PLUS experience with dis assemblers PLUS assembly debugging.

But why do we have to use assembly!? Hmm maybe because the NEC V850 renesas compiler won't work and toyota uses a special compiler by green hills that uses * very high levels of efficiency and unique table generation so you can't really recreate this with the commercial software for this processor, but you already knew that!

That's AFTER you fully understand engine calibrations.

Oh and that's AFTER you learn the op codes for the specific chip set that has no documentation because toyota owns the rights to it.

But I'm sure you just thought "code" is universal.

    L o freaking L.

Let me just throw some code in there and like magic it works, all in under one year too!

It would take you a year to fully disassemble this mcu code and that's assuming you do that 24/7 and nothing else at all.

Sorry to rant but man it irks me like nothing else when someone criticizes from a point of absolute ignorance.

I’d rather OV have too much ambition and too many irons in the forge cause even if he’s got too many promises, he still delivers on most of them if not all... just a little later than hoped.
Or you could go with someone like ummmmm say Magnuson for example who has 1 job and ONLY 1 job, forced induction. And yet they still haven’t shown up with a single thing after 3 going on 4 years of the 3rd gen release. They shoulda had the biggest headstart since they made the TRD superchargers for the previous models right? Are you trolling them too

It's just "ones and zeros though!", Lol! I get it all the time. "It's just a bit of software, no big deal."

Same goes for when I was doing CNC machining. People pretty much thought that if you just gave it some drawing files and asked nicely it would spit your part out in a few minutes.

Keep at it Mat. We are all looking forward to what you put together for 2.0 from all this beta testing.

    What size coolers?
Totally understand if you’re still trying to keep details under wraps

I’m cutting the whole front end off so all the sheet metal and other space limits on mine will be open hopefully

I’ve been looking at CBR coolers and whatnot
As well as the garret spinny bois

I really wanna take your base and go buck wild and see how fast she can go

Is the reason you are going Twin Turbo is to keep from having an exhaust crossover? 1 turbo per bank of cylinders? I cant imagine needing 2 turbos. Unless this engine is capable of running 20lbs of boost safely then i would consider the engine to be over engineered

Dude.... I suggest reading the thread. Search for comments by ovtune and go back to the beginning.

The jist of it is, find me a v6 turbo engine on the market today that isn't a twin turbo and i will buy you a beer. Just cause it has two doesn't equate to high boost.

Even fords little bitty 2.7 is a twin.

Would be awesome if we could see some more turbophotos to know better if those of us with front bumpers need to make changes if we are wanting the TUrbo setup? Not important in the grand scheme but want to figure out what changes I’ll need to make . just wondering how many/much things will need to be done...

    same

and I’m a little extra so I like going that extra step for the better performing or better looking components

    Radiator
    Trans cooler
For me specifically a bigger air box
then I’d probably move onto a better fuel pump/filters

then I’d say just the turbo parts and the dump tubes/headers.
But I’ll try to Cerakote any of the parts I can so they are protected and a little more cosmetic friendly
