OVTune 3.5L Tacoma Supercharger and Twin Turbo Systems

sooooo, I may have a set of dump tubes for sale sometime next year... i wasn't to big on the under engine TT mount but that was the only option, now this happens....

 

they will still be very useful, you still want your exhaust to be a free flowing as possible for FI. I would keep them and install them either way. If not I'm sure you wont have a hard time selling them.

 

So this is just some "testing." No guarantee. Some modifications are necessary anyway, as these use an open to close Watergate strategy, like most newer tiny turbos.

I always wanted a top mounted option but nothing would fit... I even tried Ford raptor turbos.

 

Oooooo constant product resourcing and development. Show me your twins baby!

 

I will wait for this... A top mount setup would be sweet.

 

pure speculation, but if the top mount option does happen I doubt the current designed tubes will fit the top mount location to y-pipe

 

at $3500 / turbo it just feels like there is a better/simpler cheaper way to get the same result.

 

I really like the idea of a top mount kit but by using the Lexus turbos does this mean that this twin turbo kit would be substantially more expensive than the KO4 kit that was on your web site a couple months ago? Even the discounted price of the Lexus turbos are over twice the cost of the KO4s.

thats the price from lexus/toyota. unless they are getting those babies wholesale. I dont think the app is ideal for Turbo, so i wouldnt go down that rabbit hole.

Like I said these turbos are nearly impossible to get right now.

 

since this one fits, maybe there is another one out there that does too and is within spec and price
