@OVTune Have you considered doing investcast for manifolds rather then fabrication? This could provide you a consistent quality, low cost part with very little tooling cost.

The best strategy is to drop it around the same time people get their tax returns. :D

I would buy the base kit if it dropped this week. I wouldn't mind spending xmas break installing it.

Can we get a better lit picture of the engine bay? I have an SR5 which is a slightly different layout from the TRD models

I have a local investment casting company I do plan to talk with, but it depends how popular this will be and the initial tooling cost, minimum sets, etc

Loitering around waiting to learn as much as I can because I don't know jack about it. Large vs small cooler, install, quirks ect.

I'm just here to live vicariously through all of you until I man up and do it

Where are you located? As a noob with no experience with turbos/supers. I would like to have the shop that made it to install it.

:rofl:I hope not, but sounds like we’ll know soon. I really want to see what this looks like after Mat tunes the transmission to do a better job of making use of the extra power. I’m also interested in how towing will work out, especially through steep and sustained grades.

Sounds like it's gonna be a relatively easy install. I think he said before all it takes is some basic working on cars knowledge.

No just me attempting to do this.

The only difference is I'll be covered in engine oil and my own tears

This is an old book but it has some really good information. I can't think of a better resource for learning about turbochargers. Read the reviews on Amazon and you'll see others saying the same thing.

On a difficulty scale Id give it a 5.5 out of 10, with a 10 being pulling the engine.

3 steps are most time consuming:
    1. Draining the fluids
    2. Removing the oe coolant hard lines that wrap around the steering pump
    3. Drivers side downpipe.

The other part, not hard, just tedious, is removing some of the little plastic clips scattered all over the engine bay

I worry too much. Cracked exhaust manifolds scares me. I have owned turbos.....how robust will the exhaust manifold be?

Better made than the stock exhaust manifolds.

I understand there’s a good reason why they use clips on automotive such as cost and install time, but I honestly hate them with a passion. They’re so easy to put in new but taking them out just such a pain. Can’t tell ya how many I’ve broken over the years and stole one from a different location rather than ordering a pack of new ones.
