knowing what people message me about their dealership encounters, you are more likely for them to say the engine blew during a test drive and it's operating as designed with a hole in the block.

In other words, install the twins and forget the dealer exists.

I'm sitting at 26k on my '16 I bought in July of '16. I have less than 4k miles on it this year. Do my oil changes at 5k and and it is due again according to the sticker at 27.5k or this month.

This thread is about OVTunes forced induction options and info. I imagine many like myself don't care about the mileage on your 3rd gen truck (unless it's >200,000 miles.) There's a dedicated thread for 3rd gen miles.

It's amazing how this thread gets constantly shait up.

I actually find it interesting to see what kind of mileage people are going to be adding FI at.

    AGREED.

Once we see these kits getting installed on high mileage trucks, it might be more interesting to talk mileage, but so far everyone is talking about approx 30mi trucks. That's only high mileage in the world of exotic cars.

PLEASE, lets focus on the topic at hand, FI kits being developed by OVT.

Well then I guess there isn't much to talk about until we get some more info.

I’m no stranger to boosting vehicles. Had a 2016 Charger I put forged internals in and a Whipple Supercharger on. Made about 800hp at the crank. Traded it in for my 2019 Tacoma. Worst/best decision I made.
Boosting is a slippery slope. My questions are:

    1) How much boost can stock internals handle?
    2) How much power can a stock torque converter handle?

Both of these were issues I ran into boosting my Hemi. Both of these are issues we will encounter boosting a Tacoma. Boost is addictive - while 375hp at the wheels is decent, I wouldn’t be happy until it was into the 450-500hp range. These trucks are so underpowered it’s humiliating.

I am also interested in one of your kits but would like to ask what may be a dumb question first. I understand that a larger turbo can push through more air but if the pressures are the same, ie. both at 6psi, will the larger turbo be pushing through more air even though the pressures are the same? Thanks for your help.

This is a first so nobody knows what is possible. Lower internals are forged. That pretty much all we know. Mat is going to be testing the limits and hopefully figuring all of that out for us. He will have a powermax option that looks like will be capable of pushing the limits of what you say you want. For me, 400whp is plenty. Most i have had previous was 350whp and that was pretty fun.

once you see what 400whp feels like in this truck I don't think you will need more.

This list was brought back from quite a bit earlier in the thread. Matt wanted to know who would "buy today".
I don't know that that is a very good representation of what he was asking for .

As I posted a few pages back, I would buy today. Base kit.

Matt, I also sent you a PM. Can't remember if you respond to those much or not, didn't want to add yet another helpdesk ticket to your list.

As I recall, that was the original intent of the list, “who would buy right away?”. Obviously it’s been a little while which is why I tagged everyone so they can reconfirm.

I would buy today, but also wouldn’t be upset if I had to wait for the next batch.
