OVTune 3.5L Tacoma Supercharger and Twin Turbo Systems

We seriously need someone who will take the time to reply to all the incorrect posts in this thread in order to steer people the right way. Too many noobies that don't understand how turbos work. God forbid anyone actually goes and does a little research on their own.

Well, for the newb reading another newb post about something that's completely wrong, it would surely help. But wait, if its posted on the internet, its real, right?

Yea but then the fun police would show up and complain about being off topic because that’s turbos in general and not THESE turbos. They should just mute everyone aside from Matt, then maybe they’d be happy.

 

You guys realize asking matt to discount the tune for the turbos is like buying an xbox one then the one X comes out and you expecting a discount.. only discount should be if the hardware is the same since you already have it not the tune itself.

 

Loyalty discount maybe? Car manufacturers has them. FYI I don’t have OV yet but there are things called loyalty discounts nonetheless.

 

Your comment is probably irrelevant since Mat already said there will be two purchasing options: one for those who already have OVT and one for those who don't. Now, he didn't say that there would be a discount, but it was implied I think.

We have the hardware, so there's a discount right there. Unsure regarding the tune itself

I'm pretty sure turbos are when you just put a snail shaped thing on the exhaust and exhaust goes in and power comes out. Everything else stays the same and it's very easy. Requires very little maintenance after and nothing ever breaks. Definitely doesn't void all warranties as it's a very common procedure.

Actually if someone knowledgeable had some good links to read up on, or YouTube explanations. It would be good if they could be compiled in one or two posts so that people who have questions we can just tell them, "links on page #xx... Please read and watch all the links."

There's gonna be alot of interested people once this takes off and putting some knowledge in one place on the thread might save everyone alot of headaches. I mean, on the alpha thread I can't count the number of times the same questions were asked and answered as no one ever thought to create an OVtune install Faq thread.

 

Considering I just did a drift getting onto the highway this morning, it was wet roads, I can't wait to do that on dry roads with the turbos
