    our blog posts.

    you can see here we have full port fuel control at high loads
    PFI = 1
    DFI = 2

    normally impossible on stock ecu
    using this new table.
    you can see in the second red circle, PFI and DFI cross can happen at lower RPM and high load to cool the cylinders to prevent knock.
    So we use PFI to (20%) to mist the charge, and 80% DFI to control knock

    this allows for.....
    an excellent ignition curve for boost
    with the ECU increasing from no knock detection.
    and you can also see less than 1* KR transient correction going into boost

    most of this is just raw data as we dial it in. Just want to show you guys we check, test, verify everything.

    Thanks for the response. I’m just nowhere near as intelligent as you are with these graphs and numbers. I’ve read your blog posts word for word and still don’t understand all the info. Maybe I will in time! Will reread soon and see if I can better understand. Thanks again!

    You dont have to understand it. Most people probably dont. But I enjoy explaining what we are doing, testing, trying to accomplish. Not like the "just trust me dont ask questions" mindset, or black magic secrecy tuners.

    I’ve never had a tuned vehicle before other than the stock tuning of course. I, same as you, enjoy reading what you enjoy explaining. However not fully understanding what I’m reading doesn’t assist me in learning what you’re saying. Either way it’s no big deal. Right now I’m on page 786 of the OVtune 3.5l development thread. Starting from page one til then has taken quite some time but I’m weird enough to like reading and having a small understanding of how your product came to be what it is today. I’ve also gained some respect for many others by reading their comments as well to see their growing pains with you as the truck improves. I’m extraordinarily impressed and is why I’m still reading :). Thanks for the responses!

    Question from pure curiosity.

    In the high RPM ranges are you switching completely over to PI? And if so, is there no advantage to DI while in boost?

    I recall from my own research that DI engines allowed for more ignition / compression simply due to more fuel making it into the combustion chamber which I am sure you are well aware of, especially with your background, Although with its own problems (ie, Carbon Buildup on the intake valves). With that being said can you apply these advantages of DI for more “efficient” power? Less fuel but more power?

    Or is it simply that PI provides enough fuel for that sweet air/fuel ratio while in boost?

    Hope what I’m saying makes sense. Thanks for all the updates here on what you are doing. Can’t wait to see this get into people’s hands.

    Shit's way over my head too. I Just like to think of it as a poor man's Flux Capacitor without the need for the 1.21 Gigawatts of Power that puts a smile on my face

    Holy hell that's a new level of off topic, even for this place.

    Nice! Looking forward to seeing that.

    Will you be testing the TT kit on a 6 speed manual trans Tacoma next to dial in the tune?

    Merry Christmas!

    Completely agree. My Apologies to all for cluttering up the thread with unrelated topic.

    Looking forward to learning more about the OV TT kit and dyno numbers.

    Question for OV/Mat: Since my secondary Cats have been removed (URD's catless Y pipe installed) and TT kit's downpipes are catless, will there be any other important issues (other than passing emissions) with regards to how the engine operates/tuning? Was thinking about having a high flow cat welded back into the Y pipe.
