After SEMA it seemed like there was a race to FI in the 3.5, seems like everything has been put on pause.

    exactly,

Trillions of dollars gone from the global economy, not too much demand for FI when food, rent, mortgages can't be paid.

Hell, my tires, lift and gears are on hold for a few months, probably gonna have to wait till next year for FI.

It’s still an option for some people, figured it might be a good way to generate some $$ for these companies in trying times. It also seemed like everything was near completion. Oh well, either way I hope everyone is well. Looking forward to updates whenever that may be.

People have been complaining for months about poaching the pangolin to extinction. Should have left it alone.

So just to be clear, the OVT TT kit is delayed but still planning to continue development and sell it when things get back to some level of normal?

I sure hope so.. but I have a feeling that lawyers, patents and/or new business relationships are somehow responsible for delaying and possibly derailing the Tacoma twin turbo.

There's a global pandemic currently ongoing and Mat is working on finalizing the many tune versions for each 6AT ECU ID for 2.0, he's got stuff going on home (referenced quite a bit of it in the alpha thread, to include his kiddo being home from school long term now due to the aforementioned pandemic), and all this stuff has accelerated his timeline for releasing vF Tuner.

Going to have to be patient.

@OVTune - I've had other tuners do this in the past for various turbo Subaru applications, but will we be able to purchase vF, and purchase remote tuning services where we data log, say, a 3rd gear pull to redline, send in a .csv (or whatever you prefer) of the necessary parameters, you send us a tune, rinse and repeat until it's done? Or is the intent for us (or a third party tuner) to do 100% of the custom tuning? Thanks! I love 2.0 btw.

Just a heads up, his main tuning thread turned into a bit of a mess because everyone is cooped up and edgy, so its probably going to stay fairly quiet in here. But from what ive read, hes doing what he can when he can....given the circumstances.

Hahaha my wife showed me a video of a guy freaking out on employees for only allowing them 1 case of water.

If this happened I'd imagine someone would commit to a keyboard warrior vendetta.

A month in and I’m already having Tacoma withdrawals.

I’ve been tossing the idea of buying another Tacoma but this time a used SR, slap the TT kit on, wait for the rear ended to blow up and then slap an 8.8 or 9” in the rear since they’re a dime a dozen. Some ladder bars would go a long ways too. A street queen since I don’t need it to go off-road.

Saw an article where Lingenfelter has a 50 State compliant SC for the Chevy Colorado v6. Maybe some pushing from the pac that will ultimately benefit the 3rd gen owners. Still looking for OVTune Boost - soon after the vF Tuner Software storm settles down to a norm of unconscious question askers.
