    the stock exhaust is still a choke point yes.
    however, these turbos do much better on stock exhaust than the K04s did

    Okay guys as I mentioned a few pages back a design change was required on the manifolds due to being unable to investment cast a certain angle on the original design.

    New design was finished shortly after and Casting begun as of today.
    expected 15-20 days to getting the first batch.
    ABViewer here isn't showing it smooth but it is.

    They will now be like this.

    This doesn't change anything production wise. Nothing from the kit needs redesigned or anything like that.
    Casting is in full swing.
    These have 1mm thicker sidewalls and larger initial chamber before tapering

    The only other option was cutting a section out on the initial design, which I refused. This is one solid piece.

    This doesn't affect downpipe design at all? I'm surprised. Where are the downpipe coming from?

    No it doesn't.
    The downpipes are coming from the back of the turbo housing to the stock Y pipe on both banks

    Lol. I guess the question more is who is making the downpipes?

    Are these the same as the R&D truck has on it or is this new all together?

    No not immediately after.
    This doesn't change the initial timeline posted on the manifold buy in

    The ones on the R/D truck are welded, not cast.
    Everything is in the same place only the exhaust route was modified.
    Really doesn't change anything.

    The only reason we changed this was the cast company initially thought they could do the first design but after testing it had 1 too many 90 degree bends.

    It's a simpler design of the same manifold.

    hopefully this helps understanding?
    old = grey
    new = green.

    This doesn't change your deposit, doesn't change our timeline, nothing changes except a few less 90* bends.

    I'm assuming they're one-steps? Will the recommended gap be different from stock/normal?

    So pretty much plug and play, other than AFR and Boost gauges from MESO (not needed).

    Meso, can you elaborate on what your kit will include? Will you test it on your truck first or can you work a deal with Matt to have them as an optional for the kit?

    Once the install instructions are out it will answer a lot of these questions. Keep up the good work!

    Do you see boost by gear ever being needed? It sounds like boost is pretty smooth throughout the RPM range, may not be beneficial other than for fuel efficiency?
