@OVTune do you see the need to have wideband or boost gauge even installed out of curiosity?

I mean I plan on running them regardless. I just know he has some kind of over boost protection built he developed so I don't know if a lean out condition would even be an issue. That's why I am asking.

Not required. Personally I don't like a bunch of gauges everywhere.

If I could recommend any, just a boost gauge.

AFR gauges are useful tuning tool but day to day can just be distracting..always watching, wondering about AFR.

At least a boost gauge can be your dail for MPG loss

That's what it always is, time, but no money, money but no time. In this case, money, no time, no product!

the truck uses a Maf sensor and not a Map so no boost reading is available thru obd2

So I ordered a standard boost gauge. I am going to attempt to 3d print a plate that will allow me to remove the vent and snap into the existing tabs for the vent. Should be totally reversible, but will take me a few days to design and print.

If it works and is deemed reversible be sure to sell said plates. I’d buy one

The way I am looking at it, the existing vent would be removed but left intact the trim piece will be left intact with no cutting. Should be able to remove the vent, snap in the mount and install boost gauge in the mount. Maybe have something tangible by the end of the weekend if I don't decide to go camping instead

Should just ask Mat what he's got since he's got a gauge in his vent lol

Mat said his was not reversible. This would make for a super easy install and you would be able to return it to stock if that issue arises. I could easily cut out a piece of plastic and push it into the vent with some epoxy and call it a day. I like easy and clean lol.
