    I just can't pay $400+ for a gauge.

These were very popular on TDIclub though.

It's really multiple gauges if you think about it. Can get the OBD2 gauge which reads the AFR and add the boost to it. I think I'm going to go for it.

If you plan on 14psi I would at the minimum do the in-tank pump.

Which reminds me we are going to be splitting up our fuel options.
    1. DI upgrade only.
    2. Pump.
    3. Injectors.

Our trucks do not have a MAP sensor so there is no reading over OBDII. If you buy the gauge thinking to get OBDII boost, it's waste.

Keep in mind, this won't read AFR without adding a wideband 02 sensor. The factory 02 sensors are narrowband and won't work for an AFR gauge. That's another $200 for that.

Ahh ok, didn't know that about having to add the O2 sensors. You can add the boost sensor though so the boost would be accurate. But I see your point about the AFR being useless and thus not as cost effective as I initially thought.

    Factory O2 sensors are wideband.
But the richest they read is 11.88 AF.
    below that it's "unknown"

Would it be an option to tap into the reading for a gauge. Or is it just better to run an independent sensor?

I stand corrected. How lean will it read?

So even if this gauge can interpret the factory sensors without a wideband controller (the real question), it doesn't sound like a viable source for AFR anyway.

So we can now get 1 and 2 and skip 3?

Sounds like there might be an option to get pump only, since it will be unsafe to install the kit if your truck is on the recall list for pump replacement. There are no details to when Toyota will do this from what I can tell. I don't know if the pump only will be a direct replacement though (without OVs pump control). It can definitely get complicated with the different options, which is the reason there hasn't been much talk on the different combinations outside of the ones on the fitst page.

The one I'm most curious about is PowerMax + DI (now + pump) on 14 psi. Early testing reports indicated 460 ft lbs, hp is unknown.

I'm curious, what if I don't buy the pump and I'm boosted in the future. Does that disqualify me from recalls?

    It shouldn't, but idk?

I don't think it would, but who knows. The thought of no fuel pressure at WOT should make nobody take a chance if your on the recall list!

I'm not, but who knows if Toyota may extend the serials affected.

The contact also stated he would be willing to do 10% off. Not huge savings but it helps a little.

Just a FYI, if you have the OEM 2020 LED headlights I don't think a 3" intercooler piping will squeeze in next to it. The LED headlight buckets are a little bit bulkier in the back compared to the halogen models.

I think it'll be the same story for the Morimoto XB LEDs. I was looking at mine the other day and it looks like there isn't as much room.

It looks like it will be a tight fit. I may have some 3" intake piping laying around, I'll check. 2-1/2 should clear just fine.
