Have a lot more videos coming.
quick video trying to show acceleration from a stop to about 95mph.
traction control still engaging in first when it starts spinning as you can see, cutting throttle (you hear the bpv twice)
video isn't edited or anything nice atm.
The turbos feel barely alive @ 7psi

    powermax, about 7psi.

and youtube makes my 4k video look like a potato.

traction control simply wont let you give it all in first

I bet a 4wd would solve the trac control issue :D
Awesome to see a taco move that fast though. Exciting stuff!

How much power can transmission, transfer case and rear end all handle without reliability concerns?

I recall the transmission being "rated" for somewhere in the low 300s ft/lbs

Adding FI then sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. If toyota made one like they did for the 4.0l it wouldn’t scare me as much since they stand behind one. But for a daily driver guess I’m to chicken for this game.

how do they find this number?

My assumption is most of these numbers are provided by completely binding the trans until it breaks under a certain torque load?

These numbers are likely based on safety and a given lifespan. With enough use, everything will fail even when used properly. Increasing power will inevitably make that failure a bit sooner but I don think there is too much to worry about here.

Safety margins are everything. No one builds something that is going to fail at the rated spec. A common value is "1.5" which means that if the design was 100ft lbs, it would be slightly over engineered to hold 150. Seat belts and rockets are both interesting on this topic. Seat belts have a margin of something like 20. In contrast, space travel is very expensive so they often use 1.1 or less.

My guess is that the transmission is somewhere around 2 or 2.5 (640 to 800 ft lbs) however this is just a guess. Also note that this would not be a working limit but rather an absolute limit.
