I have the same phone magnet you do, but with the swivel mount and installed center of my steering column; my phone sports a Rokform case. I use PLX devices and use their app to display my AFR and Boost on my phone.
I get out and take my gauges with me
These are the two products I have:
    https://www.plxdevices.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=897346002870
    https://www.plxdevices.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=897346002191

They have many more and can be connected in series, the app can display custom gauge configurations.
These are great because they have outputs for aftermarket ECUs, like Haltech etc.

@05Taco4x4 A phone app is definitely nice. no wiring, no mess, no added stuff to the dash.
But some people just want a ready to go, "don't have to touch a thing" gauge in the car. I can definitely appreciate both schools of thought. It's apples to oranges..the hard part is just trying to fit this apple on the dash:goingcrazy:

Only problem I could see is during an accident them or the pillar come flying out and smack you. But lots of people carry items around that have this same potential in an accident

This is a great idea. How fast is the response time when using the app like that? Have you ever compared to a traditional gauge?

Maybe it's my height, but if I go out to my truck and try and look at that location the top of the steering wheel is directly in the way. I have to crouch down and look under or sit up and look over the wheel...

I'm thinking that so far, your idea to have a gauge on each side of that humped dash piece is the best one yet.

I am 99% sure each side of the gauge cluster is symmetrical.(Which makes it easy, model 1 side and mirror image it). Boost on 1 side, AFR on the other. I think having 2 will balance out the dash(and satisfy my OCD) while looking "OEMish". We will find out...

Yeah that's kinda what I was thinking. Too bad. I think maybe one of each of those small guages on each side of the dash would be good

I have not, but I imagine it's quick enough that you wouldn't be able to tell (it seemed an instant response to my pedal actions)

I agree, of all presented so far this one is less obtrusive

    @mesojdm
I like the 'center of dash' idea- would it be possible to add it to top of radio faceplate (at angle facing driver), so just have to replace radio faceplate?

I do like 05Taco4X4 idea of the phone app but agree with Meso on the built right into the truck way for kitting purposes.

How about something like this that would use the 3D printer to recreate an already piece of plastic trim just modeled up to hold the gauge as well? I had this in my '07 Subie for boost & AFR. It was a must have when I found it!
    ati_wrx_gaugepod.jpg
Looked like this & did not block any of the gauge cluster. Also was a good place to run the wiring
