What does this mean to the ones that will be running boost controllers? Any specific guidelines we will have to follow?

Btw my Mark 5 injectors came in, looks almost identical to the others posted on here.

So, I just had my injectors order canceled by Keyes Lexus after being told they would be coming next week. Any suggestions?

Also, at this point I am planning on putting the turbos onto my Tacoma and keeping it for myself, but I do have an option to buy a used 2020 Raptor from my father at the beginning of the year next year. At this time I would really much rather have a small truck with a turbo for commuting, but if there is someone itching to be one of the first Tacomas with the big boys and all of the fueling upgrades PM me and I might be willing to deal on the turbo kit before it is installed.

Once the turbos show up though they're going on the truck and there is a really good chance I won't think twice about the raptor after that.

This injector thing is becoming a real problem. Mine are still on backorder and getting delay after delay. It's like Lexus suddenly decided they would never need injectors again.

Anyone have a line on the specs of these injectors for a comparable alternative?

o_O.. all this heat prevention :bananadead: talk around thousands of dollars in electronics and brake equipment boiling while you drive. Seems risky. All turbos glow red when towing or up a big hill. Seems to risky.. :tumbleweed: I crawl and slow 4x4 quite a bit with my truck so maybe supercharger or just gearing going to be the way to go for me. Meso's compartment looks like a SpaceX rocket engine bay.

Not an expert in thermodynamics, but logic tells me if you are deflecting all the heat @MESO and @OVTune , can't this make the heat super intense inside the turbo. Where will the heat dissipate if it can't leave the turbos or around the turbo?

Look forward to seeing the results of Mat's hard work in your rigs. Great turbo solution. I just don't know about the turbo location.

It'll be fine. In reality the turbo blanket alone would suffice. It'll drop external temps DRASTICALLY. You could put components right up against the blanket with no concern. This is all just overkill.

    why the eye roll?

Also, the blankets are going to keep the heat consistent, rather that blanket was on there or not the maximum temps that will be reached should be very very close.
The blanket makes the heat want to escape to the easiest path, in this case out the exhaust.

You want to keep the heat inside the turbo. Helps spool and efficiency. Yes,, it looks like SpaceX.. and like I said it’s probably overkill. A truck blanket should be fine. I don’t have any concerns with “thousands of dollars of electronics” getting damaged.

    Thank you!:hattip:

People here saying meso is overkill and getting worked up over something that meso does....and that is, overkill.

Heat abatement is the name of the game when making horsepower and race vehicles. Carry on.

Just seems a bit contradicting for you all to say it will be fine with a turbo blanket and minimal protection and then cover everything in the engine compartment when people consider both of you @MESO and @OVTune the lead example for the first installs. Just an observation. I'm going to shut up now. I was just trying to understand why you would do overkill if it was not needed is all. But I'm making MESO fanboys mad (that's a compliment MESO) so going to shut up now and be a voyeur.

Think of it like this....why boost 7 psi, when you can boost 14 psi. Cause you can. What is necessary and what is desired are two different things.

Maybe this has already been talked about, but do we know the AT vs. MT weak points? Going to go out on a limb and assume the AT can handle a bit more boost before it starts breaking shit if Toyota transmission build history holds true.
