    Heat scavenging is better with more heat until something melts.

    Turbos run off thermal energy. People have installed them outside the engine bay where they run cooler but doing so causes longer spoolup times. One of the key reasons to have a turbo blanket is to increase the temperature of the turbo.

    The turbos are also water cooled. There are coolant lines hooked up to each of them. Getting a turbo too hot is not USUALLY an issue.

    It's really hard to see the machining marks, but did you have these made out of one solid piece of Al, or is it 3/4 piece welded construction?
