Actually the new pump comes with a smaller one! (intake sock filter). I talked to the guys at DW and they said its more and adequate for the intake flow rate. I guess they wouldn
So I talked to tech @ deatschwerks and asked about the holleyhydra mat as I had it in my cart and ready to purchase. He told me I wouldn't see much of a benefit as those were designed for positive displacement pumps. The intake which is an impeller style will be more than adequate with the intake "sock"

Hey Mat @OVTune any hints on which wires to hook up to the new fuel pump?:boink:

    Thanks!

I suppose an automotive tank might have less junk floating around than a bike tank with a clear view to the juice?

I know the first time that I checked mine (21k from the PO), there was a significant amount of junk on it. Barely worth checking over the past 90k.

The reason that I mentioned the hydramat, is due to its ability to prevent cavitation. As long as any part of it is under fluid.

Where other socks would never have this ability.

Good for if you're low on fuel and get into boost when you shouldn't be. Like an added safety feature. Especially if say under a quarter tank, taking a turn, or up a crazy slope. It'll keep fueling running more smoothly.

If you haven’t sourced injectors yet, MyLparts just emailed me saying he has a full set of Mark 1 Injectors on hand. DM me and I can forward/CC the email to you if you need a set of injectors. I purchased mines from them with no issues.

total I paid was $1,785.26 shipped with the forum discount

So, how’s acceleration with 1rst gear set to 100 on the turbos? Fire up that draggy in 4wd and 100% throttle? Can you spin the fronts now?

Chomping at the bit here. The TR10C fits perfectly. I made aluminum mounts that push the lower mounts backwards to keep the entire intercooler vertical and bring it up to just below the safety release. Zero cutting or modification to the grille this way. 45 degree couplers aim the tubes perfectly behind the headlights without cutting anything. I even used existing holes in the lower and upper supports so no drilling needed.

The only thing i had to do was relocate my horns to either side with a single wire extension on the passenger horn. Used existing holes again for this. They were in the air path anyway. I could have just bent them back but i wanted the airflow clear.

@OVTune , have you put this on a manual truck yet? Our clutch hard line resides right about where that driver turbo sits. That going to be a problem? I fancy it will need moved but the real question is, will it move enough....

my IC is mounted tilted back as my winch head was in the way. Ordered an SSO slimline plate for the front, I’ll be creating new brackets to stand the IC straight up when I get in there for the bumper. I don’t know if it would make a difference or not, but the dude at URD mentioned it when I had him do my ‘before’ turbos dyno run, may as well just stand her up straight.

Nope, should be fine, but will make installing the downpipe a little trickier.
