Sounds like you need to design your own turbo system

I think even the "least powerful" turbo kit from all 3 would make it feel faster.

It would probably be above 380whp and the tacoma also weights less than the f150 so there is that.

I don’t think I’ve seen any torque specs quoted from OV, but if the 3.5L twin turbo in the LS 500 is putting down 416hp/442ft-lbs. Those are big numbers in a little truck. If this is anywhere near that I’m going to be all smiles.

Supposedly yes, same engine. Minor tweaks here and there. Really hoping for the 3.5 Ecoboost feeling. This rolling turd is fun to drive, but miss my Taco already.

Nope, LS500 is too different. I've got an in depth look at it recently. exhaust ports are in a completely different place.

I actually considered at one time doing modified ecoboost turbos. The 3.5 ecoboost does have amazing response since it makes full boost around 1200 rpm

Bore, stroke, and compression ratio are all different. The engine just has the same displacement.

And it sounds like different cylinder heads.

I’ve always found gas in Baja to be just as good as the US, sometimes even better. I’m usually in Baja on bikes, so you can tell the difference far more than a car. Premium in Baja is 92 octain and 10% ethanol so very similar to the US gas compared to the UK petrol..:). That being said, sediment can be an issue, so take a couple is bottles of Techron additive. That will help with the sediment and increase the octane at the same time.

This is badass, when will the kit be ready for consumers?

What was the reason you went away from that? It sounds like alot of guys, (myself included) are looking for something that gives us some more torque at lower RPMs. That seems to fit the bill pretty well.

You just wanted to find one that gives a wide consistent range of power all the way to the top end of the band?

Curious how difficult it would be to fit the Ecoboost Turbos to the Tacoma. Hmm. This thing does create massive pull at extremely low rpm.

Too small of a turbo to bother wasting your time on. The compressor side inlet is a little bit bigger then a quarter!

Seems to work well on the F150. Bigger truck, with plenty of pickup and go

You haven't seen the amount of issues with those turbos on the Ford forums then.

Nope. I dislike Ford the most of any company, so don't do any research into them at all.

First of all, not too small. My dad has one and it has fuckton of get up and go from those two quarters. Second of all, I think the majority of the problems are with accessory systems of the turbos.

Never forget that people always come online to complain, and their voices are always the loudest.
