Something I noticed a while back also was the A/F ratio was on the lean side when he was on it. If you know his wideband gauge which is the one above, you can see in the video it hovers above 13-14 AF when he’s putting it down.

Thinking about finally taking advantage of cyber Monday sales and getting a hybrid bumper.
Question about the intercooler location. Looking at the instructions from Mat, it looks like the intercooler mounts/brackets don't mount to anywhere where hidden winch mounts (what I currently have) or hidden light bars mount to. Can anyone confirm? Meaning no conflict should arise when mounting the hybrid bumper with the intercooler already in place? I'll be getting rid of my winch mount (winch has already been sold off for a long time)

While I don't have the answer, I did purchase a C4 Fabrication bumper so I can test myself on fitment with these aftermarket bumpers.

My winch mount uses the same bolt holes as the OE crash bar and I believe the Victory 4x4 Blitz bumper that I want does as well. Your intercooler section of your instructions only mentions brackets to the front bar, so if that's all, then I'm thinking running aftermarket bumpers (without a winch at least) is okay and no mounting conflict.

With a hybrid bumper it seems fine, but with a traditional plated winch bumper like my CBI I don’t think there will be enough air flow coming thru the intercooler if mounted below the grill.

How do you mean? Don't those full bumpers leave open that small space underneath the grill?

Roughly a 2”x24” slit for a light bar and roughly two 2x2” for foglights. With those lights installed and even without, I’d be constantly in fear IAT’s could skyrocket especially in the hot summer. The stock air temp sensor is built into the maf which is located upstream on the airbox and you will not be able to rely on that using something like a Scangauge.

    Yeah.

The whole question from the beginning has been that since a winch since there and the intercooler sits low, that there'd be a space/mounting conflict. It's why I eventually sold my winch and tossed out the plan to do a custom intercooler setup.

I kept my hidden winch mount in place however since it's serving as my crash bar and holding up the black valence/insert, because without the winch there it should allow the intercooler to fit fine.

My line of thinking now however, is that a hybrid bumper like the SSO or Victory Strike that uses the crash bar mount location (I assume they do anyway) should work fine since Mat's instructions do not mention those locations for mounting the intercooler. Unless they do and I missed it lol

    Gotcha.

I just took another look at the C4 bumper and yeah, it blocks off that spot that people usually use for a light bar. I'd thought it was left open.

@OVTune I know we're still trying to get the first batch of 25 all sorted out, but do you have any better ETA on when you'll be doing the second batch, or just have kits available for purchase?

Been waiting since I missed out on the first pre-order, and there are a few members offering their kits up for sale right now but neither of them are exactly how I was going to configure my kit. Trying to decide if I should jump on one of these kits...

@OVTune when do you think you will have my tune ready? I am planning on the full install this weekend. Everything looks sweet!
