Holy shit. This is my dad's third, first was in 2012, and he only had one intercooler crack on him.

    you would be surprised.

I remember having a H22 (prelude motor) and bolting it into my Acura Integra... running boost is all fun and games.. until you blow a piston rod through the block. or blow your gaskets..

No I wouldn't be surprised. There's always someone with too much access to disposable income and not enough common sense. But from what I've read on this thread, anyone considering that kit (and there seems to be few so far) have the mindset they'll have to do a little more than slap some bigger turbos on.

I believe the phrase "you have to pay to play" has been thrown around once or twice already.

If you are familiar with turbos, and it sounds like you are, perhaps you are answering the question and I'm to dense to read between the lines? Is there no room? Honest question from a potential buyer. Not trying to offend or rain on any ones parade.

Or.....Maybe I could get a simple answer from Mat?

"There just isn't room. No can do, it's just not practical, it is a tight fit on a stock truck." or some other response.

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
Matt is designing the system on a basically stock configured tacoma to start with. The intercooler needs plenty of airflow to work correctly so the grill area is the best place. For people who have already filled that area with other accessories will have to find an alternate place and/or a different intercooler setup. Matt may be able to help with this after the first setup is complete. Just my thoughts on it.

You are asking for accomodation of a 6 thousand dollar system for your 800 dollar bumper. Not gonna happen...I will say it... Not gonna fit and not gonna happen

Maybe i missed it, but how will this work with the air intake? I ask because i have an afe and that puppy was not cheap and i would hate to have to get rid of it.

It won't. The turbo kit will have its own air intake that's completely different.

Didn't Mat mention that he is working on two intake options? One that uses the stock air box (and possibly aftermarket CAIs). And the other that has twin intakes?

    You guys are ridiculous.

First, there is enough room behind the grill to hide a dead body. The Intercooler he has chosen isn't THAT thick and the AC Condenser/Radiator is so large/efficient that airflow should not be an issue. The only thing that will likely have to go are behind the grill light bars.

I just stumbled onto this thread and this is great news about get some more power out of our taco's! I do have some questions about running this set up though that hopefully Matt @OVTune can clarify.
    1) What is the size difference from the stock injectors and the new injectors are you using?
    2) Can the stock fuel system keep up with this and has anyone looked into an aftermarket fuel pump that would work on our Tacoma's?
    3) Anyone thought about an Air Oil Separator or where we can tap into for running one? I honestly wouldn't want to run a turbo system without one.
    4) What does the charge piping routing look like? I'm guessing it's going to change now since Matt mentioned he was relocating the turbo's. Personally I'm less concerned about the FMIC location behind the grill than inter-cooler pipping rubbing against stuff.
    5) I'm guessing that the turbo's are liquid cooled and if so with a high mount are you planning on running an extra reservoir up top like Subaru's?
    6) What does the BOV/BPV set up look like? Wouldn't it be better to run 2 with a split inter-cooler so both turbo's are pretty much don't interact with each other until they get to the throttle body?
