OVTune 3.5L Tacoma Supercharger and Twin Turbo Systems

fitment consideration...not issue

TRD Sport with dual battery and hidden winch. Went with TR1035 intercooler, so routing plumbing is different than the kit. But routing this way won't work with a dual battery on driver's side setup like off-grid's. Plumbing won't clear the battery. I'm opting to move both batteries to in-cab and delete the 1/3 seat to make that happen. I'm not worried about off gassing of the battery... i have AGMs and will build a box.

 

Almost done with the build now, Just wondering about that downpipe @OVTune ?

I’m just waiting on that part then I’m just waiting for the turbo tune..

Did you have any fitment issues with the passenger side wastegate bracket?

 

Who was the person in AZ that bought one of these?? Was it you @Jimmyturbo ?

 

Since it’s so damn quiet..
For the folks doing their own intercooler/aluminum charge pipes and want a nice bead on each pipe end. Here’s a cheap and dirty method; 20 bucks CDN on Amazon and a grinder. People with carbon fiber pipes this bead trick won’t work but the hairspray trick is another dirty and effective one too.
This is just a scrap 3” pipe, if you really tried it could look even a bit better.

Nice DIY! I ended splurging for the Vibrant roller and it made life super easy. Especially with how many beads I had to roll.

 

The vibrant one was something like $400 for me so I couldn’t justify it for this one project. If I was a performance shop then it’s no substitution for the right tools. So far this simple modified crimper/plier has served me well for atleast a couple projects.

 

Update:
So we have ordered a bunch of wastegate springs, to ensure everyone has 7psi springs for their wastegates.
shipping of kits will be resuming asap.

I'll let you know. Unless I get the tune this weekend I won't do anything but idle it out of the shop and let it sit until I get a tune and a wastegate spring. In other words it might be sitting in Littleton for awhile.
