    Thanks for the response Mat.

I'll pass on what you said about the turbos/mani's. Because I assume it's possible to install them on the incorrect side then.

it's not possible to install them on the wrong side. nothing would line up at all. Even if you only swapped the CHRA and cold sides, then the wastegates would be all wrong, etc.

I'm not sure what they meant by holes not aligning. Aligning to the head? because the turbos and manifolds are already bolted together so nothing needs done there.

They had separated the turbos and manifolds to double-check everything because of the other things they'd talked about, and so that's where that came up, because the ring left behind showing where they were seated together and showing where hole of the turbo likely would be crosses over the hole on the mani, which they said could possibly mean that it's not fully open. That's why they were wondering if they were swapped.

If what they are seeing is on the *passenger* side that is OK as you/them can see the turbo side hole is a bit bigger than manifold side hole.

    A picture may explain better

since they took pics if you could email me what they are trying to explain I can get a better idea.

I want to make sure everything is right.

Also for everyone I am going to be making some changes to the instructions, going over things again, going to pull my entire kit off and reinstall again and try to document it better.

Because i know *********FOR SURE********* that you guys shouldn't be cutting any dang shock towers or frame or anything

Also purchased a full URD exhaust so I can make a tune for you guys with aftermarket exhausts, since the truck *will* overboost with a freer flowing exhaust.

Alright. Well either way, it should be impossible to put them back together incorrectly then, so I'll just let them do their thing and I'll pass all that along if they contact me about it or something else.

As an outsider looking in...this whole thread really took a turn for the worst. I was excited for a tt setup, now not so much. This shit looks like a nightmare.

It is not nearly the nightmare it looks like.
Some of the problems have been coming from our end, of course, because of supply chain problems with parts.
Another is because we had to let an employee go right when I was in the middle of doing all of the setup for this.
Finally, it will look this way for some because this first round was way too customized. So different people got different things, and had to do their own IC/piping, etc which contributed heavily to confusion.

but I am confident that after this, it will be a much easier and smoother process. We aren't doing any *customization* of kits anymore, just 1 standard version and 2 different turbo options (base / powermax).

This first batch is definitely teaching us how to make the process easier, what to avoid, clarify on, etc.

    Agree with this.

Current impression at this point in time is that the kit is not merely/fully "drop-in" for your average Joe, and requires some patience and acceptance of speed bumps and hiccups along the way, flexibility. But that's not to say it will remain that way for all future kits either. There's potential for it to evolve past the current level of difficulty.

If you have not flashed the Turbo Tune drive it like it is broke - no need to have a cylinder drop or worse - I'd wait for the tune to drive it out of the shop just because that is a big investment to risk. JMO. Still jazzed to check it out. Congrats!

I think you’re right. With the photo below, which I tried to hold as straight up and down as possible, would you agree that the vband needs loosened a touch and the turbo turned clockwise? I think that will get the wastegate clear of the tower.

Wastegate goes on the far side of the mount in this pic. The bolt you see through the hole is the coilover stud.

should be more towards the engine.
you can loosen the 8mm bolt / 10mm nut (on the hot side) and shift it

I don't know how you guys did it but taking the DI rail studs out makes everything a lot easier.

That’s Great! I’m using URDs full spec U exhaust setup but using a different muffler. Hopefully you can fine tune mines accordingly when I get my TT kit installed.
