OVTune 3.5L Tacoma Supercharger and Twin Turbo Systems

I have it parked until I get the other wastegate spring in need which should be Tuesday. I don't want to take the chance of over boosting with a generic map.

 

Excellent news! Glad it's running nicely.

Any ideas on what that vibration might be?

 

It could be a low idle rpm. Mine does this with a 600 rpm idle, specially when cold out. Most of it goes away when the engine warms up.

It’s getting real!

 

Check if the drivers side downpipe is touching the steering shaft.
You can loosen the bolts a little on the downpipe (hotside to downpipe) and move it a little away.

 

Same here! If it comes in this week it will be installed by the weekend. I’m planning on taking pictures of every step.

 

I'm packing kits all week . For you guys receiving tracking and also ordered fuel pumps it will come with your turbo kit in the same box

Question, my ecu currently has 04B31 2.0 tune on it. Directions for turbo install states to update to latest ECU which I think is 04B33 for this particular ecu ID but from what I recall, there isn’t support for that ecu yet?

i also have VFtuner with credits unlocked for 04B31, will I need to get more credits if I need to tinker with the updated 04B33 ECU?

in this case it would not be required to update to 04B33.
It's mainly for 16/17 trucks where updating to 04B04 is really a requirement.


Also - we have ordered more springs (wastegate) they are on the way.
Our deatschwerks pumps that we ordered ...I don't even know how many months ago, will finally be here in a few days.

then we can start shipping more.

lol. Actually I am happy that these "growing pains" in adjustments, clarification of instructions, etc are on this small scale (amount of people). Many changes before the kits released again.

 

Oh definitely. As much of a headache and pain in the ass it is to address and keep track of these 25, had you released a huge amount and tried to address everything it would be a nightmare. I am looking forward to receiving this thing though and complaining to you about something haha Oh, I realized I still have not purchased a boost gauge / controller. Any issues with the SCG-1 that anyone knows about?

 

This isn’t meant to be negative, but with this product being shipped and installed does anyone have a working and tuned truck with the turbos installed now?

 

My truck is running and tuned on the base tune. I am waiting on a wastegate spring before I actually start driving and logging.

also considering the rate these kits are coming out to those who preordered, this is pretty darn quick! Remember that preorder was about April of this year! Then getting casting made, etc, for a shop his size to me is no easy feat. And for the kits to start rolling out in less than a year is amazing to me! I think we’re all excited to see the results as am I. Hats off to you Matt!

 

Thank you. I really appreciate the support. This turbo kit was a big challenge. But I am very happy, and it will only continue to improve.

I have..ambitious goals for power early next year in our R/D truck. So this is just the start.

One thing for sure though, some changes before next roll out, and it won't be pre-orderable. Only by in stock status.

 

Ok time to find a spare motor... what compression are those?
