is the manifold completely tightened to the head?
it won't completely clear it but definitely shouldn't be that far over, although it's hard to tell from the pic

So it's pretty sweet. Plenty of power anywhere. Spool is instant. Trying to hunt down a vibration in the pedal but other than that it's good.

Mine was that far over too. Tech doing the install was saying he'd probably have to cut/trim up the neck

Here is where it should be at.

Double check that the bottom bolts on the manifold to head are fully tightened down

Really considering this kit when everything’s all buttoned up. Thanks to Matt and all you guys continuing to post development. May be one of the few threads I have read every single page on here.

Anyone figure out what to do with the passenger side valve cover breather line? Mine is just kinda sitting there right now and I think it may be causing a check engine light.

This needs addressed asap. It's essentially an open port to your valve train. It's like leaving your oil fill cap off. Dirt and/or water is going to get in there and when your pcv is pulling air out of the crankcase, this port will essentially be pulling unfiltered air into the valve cover. It will also be considered unmetered air getting into your engine. This might sound off but look at it this way:

When your PCV is pulling air out of the crankcase, what is happening is the intake manifold is actually pulling suction (at idle it's in vacuum). This is pulling air from the crankcase through the PCV side. That air is not only your blow-by, but its also the fresh air being pulled through the breather side. It's one big circulation system. And since all of this is coming from outside the engine instead of the post MAF intake pipe like it's supposed to (metered air), you have unmetered air getting into your cylinders. Not a lot, but enough to possibly cause small driveability issues, inconsistent a/f ratios at idle, and maybe even a check engine light. Most importantly though you are contaminating your oil.

Before you just add a breather on that line and call it good, consider the unmetered air thing I mentioned, and also that line will push blow-by out of it under boost. Over time even with a filter on it your engine bay is going to get a nice coating on it. (Hence all the catch can talk).

I'd like to see what @OVTune has to say about this, but if he doesn't, just do what I told @Turd Hawg on page 530. I looked everywhere for a push through type fitting like what comes with the kit for boost reference, but couldn't find one big enough. This would be a good option if Mat doesn't chime in with what he intended to be done. That line should absolutely not be left hanging.

I definitely understand the issue. The truck isn't going to move much until it gets sorted. I ordered the weld in bung. Need a place to weld it in I guess.

Weld it to the aluminum intake Y, right after the MAF.

The factory line may reach if you reverse it.

I meant someone to weld it in. I know it isn't a big job. Just need to find someone to do it.

Thanks. Shooting for end of day Monday, Wednesday at the latest. Everything done here except air. Bead roller coming in tomorrow, welding that JamesT bung in tomorrow while I wait for it.

My winch head kept my intercooler from perfectly vertical, so I pulled that out today, am going to fab up some new intercooler mounts tomorrow as well while I’m in wait mode.

I’m seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!
